Stuffed on “StuffedBurger” in Montclair, New Jersey
Looking for the perfect place for your cheat meal? StuffedBurger located in Montclair might be your place! Since opening in 2014 I have been wanting to check out this burger joint, who prides themselves on having 100% grass-fed, antibiotic-free beef.
So why the name StuffedBurger? Because their burgers are stuffed with yummy goodness. Popular items on their menu include the “Bacon Jam Burger” (Stuffed with Havarti Cheese, Bacon Jam, Roasted Garlic Aioli, Arugula), the “Montclair Blue Burger” (Stuffed with Blue Cheese, Chipotle Aioli,and Sautéed Mushrooms), and the “Mac & Cheese Burger” (Stuffed with Five Cheese Mac & Cheese, Nueske’s Smoked Bacon, Homemade Barbeque Sauce, and more Five Cheese Mac & Cheese on top).
Owner and Chef Dan Campeas is a lifelong Montclair Resident who brought his fun burger concept to his hometown.
The restaurant has been successful from the beginning, winning a “Best of Essex” award for the last two years (they’ve only been open for two years).
In addition to his award winning burgers, his Bacon Jam, Black Truffle Honey Mustard, Roasted Garlic Aioli, Chipotle Aioli, Barbeque Sauce, Mac & Cheese, and Brisket are homemade.
When I was there I decided to get the “Original Stuffed”, stuffed with Cheddar Cheese. Here is a before and after picture:
My husband got the “Breakfast Burger” stuffed with American cheese, with an over easy egg and Nueske’s Smoked Bacon. Big burgers that require big hands!
Not a beef fan? StuffedBurgers also has Turkey burgers, Fries, Sandwiches, Salads, and Milkshakes. Vegetarian? They have two veggie burgers on their menu, which are homemade from a local vendor. They also have a mac and cheese egg roll, which is exactly what it sounds like.
Speaking of fries…
We had to try their amazing looking fries! We shared their Brisket Fries (Fresh Cut Fries, Havarti Cheese, Grass Fed Pulled Brisket, BBQ Sauce, topped with Onion Rings). SO good, and I’m not ashamed to say I ate the majority of the portion.
If you’re looking for a fun, low-key restaurant, with unique burgers then StuffedBurger is the place for you! Definitely one of the best burgers I’ve ever had.
