Sourland Music Festival Set for June 23rd!
The Ryland Inn of Whitehouse Station and award-winning chef, Chris Albrecht, are partnering with the Sourland Music Festival again this year to provide the VIP service at the June 23rd festival at the Hillsborough Country Club from 3 – 10 pm.
The Inn: The Ryland Inn received four stars from New Jersey Monthly, an award that had not been given out in over a decade. Chef Chris seeks the finest ingredients from local sources, grown responsibly and sustainably. This year, The Ryland Inn will work with local farms such as Cherry Grove Farm, Martenette Farms, Stonybrook Meadows, Morganics Family Farm, and Cherry Valley Cooperative Farm, as well as Sourland Mountain Spirits, Unionville Winery and the Flounder Brewery of Hillsborough (serving their Sourlands Rockin’ Ale) to once again provide the finest and drink at the VIP service.
The number of VIP tickets is limited but the Ryland will also be selling their hand-held salads and juices (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) in the general area. Coldwell Banker’s Mike Barasch, Volvo of Princeton and Secure Retirement Strategies are also sponsors of the VIP area.
The Mountain: The Sourland Music Festival will take place at the Hillsborough Country Club, nestled among the rolling fields and forests of the Sourlands, one of Central New Jersey’s best kept secrets. The Sourland region contains 90 square miles of forests, boulder fields, meadows, wetlands and farms. The region is home to a rich variety of plants and wildlife and is a great place to hike and bike, as well.
Located in the most densely populated state in the Union, the Sourland region faces many threats, including overdevelopment, the proliferation of pipelines, the overpopulation of white-tailed deer and invasive species. The Sourland Music Festival is the major fundraiser for the Sourland Conservancy, a nonprofit organization fighting to protect and preserve this valuable and unique part of our natural and cultural heritage. Visitors to the Sourland Music Fest will enjoy the best of food and drink in a beautiful setting while supporting this cause.
The Music: This year’s Music Fest features a unique and powerful lineup of the region’s most vital and exciting artists ranging from Pop and Reggae to Country Rock and Jamtronica. Go to THE LINEUP page at www.sourlandmusicfest.org to sample the tunes of Nalani & Sarina, Flux Capacitor, Stolen Rhodes, Verdict, Joshua Branson and the JB Kline Band.
