Sides Diner and Grill in Long Branch: Review
Delightful is the first word that comes to mind when I think of my experience at Sides Diner and Grill, a new diner that opened in 2018 in Long Branch, NJ.
From the moment you walk in and are greeted by diner’s owner Gus, you automatically feel comfortable in this cozy diner. From the new decor, flooring, and seating it is definitely one of the more prettier diner interiors I’ve been in (even their bathroom is beautiful).
I arrived at Sides Diner and Grill at 11am, making it the perfect time for brunch. I decided to get some very badly needed coffee in my system while I looked over the menu. The coffee was one of my favorites, NJ’s own Lacas which is a common coffee to find in a NJ diner.
Their menu was (refreshingly) not over saturated and big, making it easier to make a decision about what to get. In addition to their regular menu we were also given their breakfast menu which had over 30 breakfast specials to choose from! Plus they have freshly made orange juice which is perfect for any time!
Their regular menu has a little bit of everything including authentic Greek dishes like gyros, spinach pie, and moussaka. They also have homemade burgers, sandwiches, and all your other diner classics. Plus amazing desserts like coconut cream pie, cheesecake, key lime pie, and layer cake.
While I was feeling in a lunch mood my husband was in a breakfast mood. I decided to get their grilled chicken panini which was served with mozzarella, spinach and basil with a side of fresh cut fries.
Not only was my sandwich great, but the fries were delicious! I truly appreciate when diners, or any restaurant for that matter, serves real fries and not frozen fries you can pick up at the grocery store. You can taste the difference!
My husband ordered the 2x2x2 which was two pancakes, two pieces of bacon, and two eggs.

Overall my trip to Sides Diner and Grill was DELIGHTFUL and I look forward to coming back next time I’m in the area. Bonus! They are close to the beach.
