Shop These Last Minute NJ Mother’s Day Gift Ideas

Happy Mother’s Day! Whether you want to celebrate your mom, grandmother, or a special person in your life – if you’re reading this post you waited until the last minute. It’s okay! There’s plenty of gift ideas that you can commit to before this weekend.

If you’re also like me, you spend HOURS on the computer or your phone looking for gifts.! I’ve put together a list of unique gift ideas that your loved ones will appreciate.

Here are just a few ideas…

1. Why not take them on a Weekend getaway or Surprise Day Trip! It takes you a little over 2 hours to drive through the entire state of New Jersey…why not take someone on a local vacay? I have plenty of recommendations including beach towns like Asbury Park, Cape May, and Ocean City…or you can go hiking at the Delaware Water Gap, enjoy a day trip to the cute village of Smithville, explore history in Morristown or Montclair, etc. There’s plenty in NJ to do (it’s kind of my motto).

2. Does your person love food? You can take them on a Food Tour! Generally, food, in general, is a great gift idea! Here is a list of 10 New Jersey Food Tour companies to check out! Buying gift certificates/cards is a great way to support local businesses this year. Get excited about the NJ Food Trail!

3. With so many theaters, concert venues, and comedy clubs in NJ, tickets to a show is always a great idea. And these venues need your help now more than ever! Purchasing a gift certificate or donating to a local theater is a great way to support these businesses in 2021.

4. Get them a Pass to Museum, Pass to Aquarium, or Zoo! There are so many fun places to go in NJ, and there are major perks to memberships. If your special person is looking to enjoy the perks of the garden state, this is the perfect idea for them.

5. Give the gift of beverages! There are so many Craft Breweries and Brew Pubs and you can get them a gift certificate, glassware, clothing, and beer(of course) as gifts. You can purchase items in advance or enjoy a day at the brewery.

The same thing for New Jersey Wine, there are so many amazing vineyards in NJ. Wine is always a great last-minute gift.

If your person isn’t into alcohol, local coffee works too! Gift cards and subscriptions to local coffee shops is a great way to celebrate mom and support a local business.

7. Not to be cheesy…but cheese is a great gift idea.

For cheese lovers, I have a few suggestions – Cheese Etc. & Gourmet Gifts in Haddon Township, Jersey Girl Cheese in Branchville, and the Cheese Cave in Red Bank. If you’re looking to buy me something…you can’t go wrong with cheese (Hint Hint to my husband).

8. Does your mom need to chill? Or does she love all the holistic benefits of CBD? Located in Edgewater, Hemp & Honey makes pretty much anything you can think of with CBD. If you’re looking to cure anxiety and promote self-care, this is definitely a shop to check out.
