Seaport Diner in Elizabeth, NJ: Diner Review
I finally got a chance to visit the Seaport Diner in Elizabeth, a diner that has been recommended to me time and time again.
Located right off exit 13a on the New Jersey Turnpike, the diner is conveniently places and it’s just minutes away from Newark Airport if you’re looking to grab food before a flight.
The diner is on the smaller side so it’s perfect for solo travelers and small groups. A lot of guests made themselves comfortable at the diner counter.
The diner serves your typical diner fare at affordable prices. All of their food is homemade and has been rated one of the best restaurants in the area!
Items that stood out to me on their menu included:
– Roast Turkey and Egg Omelette
– Their popular Disco Fries made with Bill’s Brown Gravy
– Award Winning Texas Beef Chili with Beans and Cheese
– A Sloppy Joe
– Fresh Carved Sandwiches
– Their homemade 9oz Burgers
– Seafood options including the 21 Shrimp in a Basket (Why 21? It’s a mystery)
– Fried Chicken and Waffles
They also have fresh pies, cakes and desserts!
I decided to get my #1 favorite diner menu item, the chicken gyro:
It was very good!
My husband got his #1 favorite diner menu…eggs. Womp Womp. But this egg platter with bacon and potatoes does make a tasty meal and an excellent photo.
Overall a lovely, quick, and affordable trip to the Seaport Diner. I would definitely stop and eat there instead of airport food!
