Prost! 25+ New Jersey Oktoberfests to Put On Your Calendar

Prost! Now that it’s Fall (technically Fall starts Sept 22), it’s time to celebrate Oktoberfest all across New Jersey. Here are some New Jersey Oktoberfest events to put on your calendar.  Some of these events take place as early as this weekend (apologies for the delay…I don’t know why Oktoberfest starts in September), so be sure to view this list often. Bookmark it in case new events show up.

Oktoberfest at MudHen Brewing
September 17 – 19
This family-friendly Oktoberfest celebration features German-inspired food and live music, as well as activities for the kids. Live music performers include The German band Doppelganger, the rock band The Locals, The German, Polish, Slovenian, Latin, Country, and Classic Rock band The Mountain Express, and the rock band Keep The Change.

Please join the CHESTER LIONS CLUB at their 23rd Annual Oktoberfest Weekend: CURBSIDE Edition. All the proceeds from this event go to various charities and other worthy causes. Montclair Brewery Oktoberfest
September 25, 12:30PM – 10:30PM
Join Montclair Brewery as we celebrate our Third Annual Oktoberfest on September 25. Indulge in the Blue Stripe Oktoberfest Dunkel Lager, Claremont Pilsner, Buzz Ale Belgian Blond ale, Frog Hollow Orange Wheat and a few other special German-style and local-inspired craft brews. Music all day long with super-talented local bands such as the Morningwood Brothers, Bard Band, Howlin’ Poets and Lil’ Bastad. Montclair Brewery’s resident DJ Ritters is on the turntables throughout the event.

Dress in your German-Best Oktoberfest attire and enter the costume contest or join the stein-hoisting contest to test your strength! The first 150 adult ticket holders will receive a commemorative pin and branded souvenir stein. All ticket holders will receive one free drink ticket to be used for an alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverage. Outdoor games are available for play, and Oktoberfest-inspired foods will be available for purchase.

The feel-good spirit of Highlands 19th ANNUAL Oktoberfest is modeled after the traditional Munich, Germany Oktoberfest with an emphasis on eating; drinking and being merry while providing something for everyone. Authentic German food, live music, dancing and other great entertainment will be part of the Annual Oktoberfest celebration taking place in Veterans Park on Bay & Shrewsbury Avenues. The park is festive with fall decorations, the food is great and the varieties of German beers are even better. Authentic German food is a highlight of this famous festival. Executive Chef Butch Greenwaldt is preparing the menu with plenty of traditional German favorites hot off the grill such as bratwurst, knockwurst, kraut, potato pancakes, goulash, sauerbraten, and Bavarian noodles along with another tasty fare those less adventurous.

The Craft Show @ Oktoberfest

This event features a high-quality craft show with up to 75 craftspersons bringing their handmade crafts in many media. It’s a great place for holiday shopping, for gifts, or for items for your own use and enjoyment. There will be German music, German food, water, and soft drinks; Korean delicacies; inflatable games. While at the fair visit the Demarest Nature Center and environmental information tables. All proceeds go to benefit The Demarest Nature Center.

Oktoberfest at Raceway Park

This event features sample selections from over 30 tri-state area breweries in a safe and fun outdoor setting. Lagers, IPAs, Stouts, Pilsners, wines, hard seltzers…. sample and enjoy with your own commemorative sampling glass. Other features include gourmet food vendors, live bands, and a variety of games, including corn hole and hatchet tossing! Pay one fee to get in, and all drinks are on the house! You will receive a five-ounce souvenir glass with a two-ounce pour line. You are welcome to sample any and all beers that our brewers have.
