NJIB’s Guide to 40+ New Jersey Events September 20 – 22, 2024

As the temperature starts to cool down, events are heating up! (September is the busiest month for events in our opinion!) Here’s your guide to New Jersey events this week from now until September 22nd, 2024. Whether you’re into street fairs, food truck festivals, or free events, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. PLUS you can find NJIB at Bell Works Fresh on Wednesday the 18th,  Matawan Farmers Market on Friday the 20th, and Denville San Gennaro on Sunday the 22nd.

The Warren County Hot Air Balloons, Fun and Games Festival
September 21 & 22

The Warren County Hot Air Balloons, Fun and Games Festival will take place on September 21 and 22. As part of the event, the Hot Rides & Hot Air Balloons Car & Truck Show will be held on Saturday, September 21. Organizers are seeking participants for the show. Those interested can preregister for $15 until September 16 or register on the day of the event for $20. Participants and their passengers will receive free admission to the balloon festival.

Halsey Festival
September 19, 3 pm – 8 pm

This family event features a Newark neighborhood festival with a delicious array of food options, exciting programming, and special performances from local DJs and arts organizations. With an emphasis on supporting our local small businesses and connecting the community’s various stakeholders, this year’s Halsey Festival is not to be missed. This event will positively impact local small businesses directly providing them with much-needed economic relief.

North Wildwood Irish Fall Festival
September 19 – 22

One of the largest Irish festivals in the country is held at the Jersey shore — every September. This festival features a celebration of Irish heritage with dancing, music, food and craft vendors. Other festivities include a golf tournament, Irish dance lessons, 5K run and 1 mile walk, pipe exhibition, food court, and Catholic Mass. The events conclude with a parade on Sunday down Surf Avenue from 20th to Spruce and Olde New Jersey Avenues.

Tewksbury Harvest Festival
September 21, 12 pm – 5 pm

The Tewksbury Harvest Festival will be held Saturday, September 21, 2024 (rain date Sun. 9/29) at beautiful Christie Hoffman Farm Park in Tewksbury, N.J. The annual festival, a highly anticipated fall event in northern Hunterdon County, has been drawing crowds of approximately 3,000 people from Tewksbury and surrounding communities for an afternoon of food, music, shopping, free activities, and fun for 26 years. This family-friendly festival is scheduled to include 10 food trucks, 40+ antique and unique art/craft/gourmet food vendors, a silent auction, and two live bands. Local favorite Duke Band will perform a mix of classic rock and pop covers from 12:00-2:15 p.m. From 2:45-5:00 p.m., Jessie Bardwell & the Noble Brothers will bring a toe-tapping mix of country-rock to the stage.
