It’s been a while since I talked about my Ice Cream Quest in New Jersey. My first post was about 4 places I visited, here is another 8 locations.

Dairy Fresh Ice Cream (Camden County)
Address: ;
I loved going to this ice cream place in South Jersey which is open year round! It’s located right on Black Horse Pike in Williamstown so it’s easy to get to. It’s pretty big inside so there’s plenty of seating inside for when it’s too chilly to be outdoors.
Ice Cream Choice: Salty Caramel and Vanilla Chocolate Chip
Royal Crowne Homemade Ice Cream and Grille (Atlantic County)
Since 1953 Royale Crown serves the best Homemade Ice Cream, Food, Fresh Ice Cream Cakes, Custard, Yogurt, Thick Shakes and many other Yummy Sundaes and ICE CREAM TREATS.
Address: 1051 S White Horse Pike, Hammonton, NJ; (609) 561-4423
LOVED this place! Built in the 1950s, Royal Crowne still has a great throwback vibe. Their homemade ice cream is delicious!
Ice Cream Choice: Maple Walnut Fudge
Causeway Creamery (Middlesex County)
Address: 113 Causeway St, South River, NJ; (732) 254-2130
I had no idea this place existed until I was doing a search for homemade ice cream in Middlesex County. This cash only pit stop in South River has incredible ice cream at very low prices. Outside seating only!
Ice Cream Choice: Mint Chocolate Chip
Milltown Ice Cream Depot (Middlesex County)
Address: 87 Washington Ave, Milltown, NJ; (732) 545-1177
I’ve lost count how many times I’ve been to Ice Cream Depot. This was the only time I’ve been there where there was no line! They don’t make their own ice cream, but their prices are the cheapest in town. For $3 you can get a “baby” which is a medium anywhere else. Lots of great flavors, toppings, shakes…and hot dogs! Cash only!
Ice Cream Choice: Salted caramel pretzel and peanut butter ripple
Das’ Creamery (Morris County)
Gourmet, hand made ice cream made in house using premium ingredients. Innovative flavors offered year round. Ice cream cakes, milkshakes, and sundaes too
Address: 100 US-46, Mt Olive Township/Budd Lake, NJ; (862) 258-3593
You’ll be floored how many unique flavors this ice cream parlor has!
Ice Cream Choice: Lemon Cookie Drop and Key Lime

Nasto’s Ice Cream Co (Essex County)
Throwback retail shop of a local ice cream manufacturer, doling out a variety of flavors & cakes.
Address: 236 Jefferson St, Newark, NJ; (973) 589-3333
A classic! Family owned for three generations, this homemade ice cream and Italian place in Newark is fantastic! Be sure to check out unique flavors like cantaloupe, sweet corn, and cappuccino.
Ice Cream Choice: Holy Cannoli and Sweet Corn

Skipper Dipper (Ocean County)
Skipper Dipper opened its doors and dipping cabinets in the groovy summer of ’78 to give Long Beach Island its favorite place to go for ice cream. The flavors and toppings have changed some through the years, but Skipper’s menu, offering a wide assortment of soft and hard ice creams, shakes, sundaes and ice cream cakes, is as timeless as ever.
Addresses: 9305 Long Beach Blvd, Long Beach Township, NJ; (609) 492-9680
When I was LBI people kept telling me to go to Skipper Dipper…so I did! The line was long but went very quickly thanks to an efficient staff. Great ice cream choices as well! Np seating inside, but there are a few tables outside.
Ice Cream Choice: Pineapple Whip and Black Raspberry
Cone Zone (Monmouth County)
Since 1993, the Cone Zone has been providing award-winning ice cream, frozen cakes, treats and novelties to residents and visitors of the Jersey Shore.
Address: 2040 NJ-33, Neptune City, NJ; (732) 502-0066
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve driven past this place and never went in. So glad I did this time! Their ice cream is homemade and reasonably priced, and I loved the look of their location. I will definitely be back!
Ice Cream Choice: Banana Caramel Chocolate Chip and Maple Walnut
I still have a lot more to conquer! The Best Ice Cream in NJ quest continues! Stay Tuned!
