Blairstown, NJ – Blairstown is a small town West of Newton, NJ, located in the Northwestern corner of the state, close to the Pennsylvania border. Sean Cunningham chose this location because it provided the perfect small town setting for the events of the fictional “Camp Crystal Lake” to take place. The first shot of the movie after the opening sequence shows Annie crossing a small bridge as she walks into town. There have been some alterations to the bridge, but the basic structure is the same.

Blairstown Diner – (186 State Route 94, Blairstown, NJ) This is the diner that Steve Christy spends all evening at while his counselors get slaughtered. The diner continues to be open for business, and is happy for a visit from Friday the 13th fans. It may be particularly busy tonight…

Camp NoBeBoSco – This camp was the main filming location, and many of the structures are still the same. Take note, this is a functioning Boy Scouts camp, so at the request of the managers, please do not come to the campsite without prior permission. The camp hosted it’s first official Friday the 13th tour on Friday, May 13th, 2011 to great success, so future tours on the special date are almost certainly in the works. The tour is limited and sells out quickly, so join their mailing list so you get them ASAP. You can actually BUY part of the dock, framed for $65 here. SO COOL!
