Celebrate Valentines Day & Palentine’s Day with GSWGA’s Annual Wine and Chocolate Trail
The New Jersey Wine & Chocolate Trail Weekends embrace Valentine’s Day and take place on both February 10 – 12 and February 17 – 19, 2023. Both weekends offer an opportunity to enjoy fine wine, artisan chocolate, music, and more.
Wineries throughout the state have created a program of events and activities perfect for sharing – stroll the vineyards while holding hands and a glass of wine, enjoy a wine flight, savor chocolate and wine pairings by a fire pit, relax to live music and more as you enjoy New Jersey wine in the vines.

“Wine, chocolate and someone you love – it’s the perfect pairing, and the perfect way to start or continue your journey through New Jersey Wine Country – no passport required! Of course wine enthusiasts and savvy travelers can always use the GSWGA mobile app and Passport Program to plan their travels, record their experiences and even win a free trip to a romantic wine destination,” said Devon Perry, Executive Director Garden State Wine Growers Association.
With over 60 wineries and vineyards in four distinct American Viticultural Areas, there’s a New Jersey winery within less than an hour’s drive. The four American Viticultural Areas (AVA) are the Warren Hills AVA, the Cape May Peninsula AVA, the Central Delaware Valley AVA and the Outer Coastal Plain AVA. Vineyards across New Jersey grow more than 80 grape varieties, including Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Pinot Noir, Riesling, Sangiovese, Albarino and Chardonnay. New Jersey’s wineries also produce a wide array of fruit wines, and New Jersey is one of the top producers of wine in the country.

About the GSWGA:
The Garden State Wine Growers Association is a non-profit organization of New Jersey-based wineries, vineyards and allied businesses. It serves as a centralized information repository, resource, and clearing house for industry members, and offers a unified voice advocating for issues important to the entire range of New Jersey winery and vineyard operations. Central to this mission are efforts toward branding, marketing, public relations, education, and legislation and regulation for the furtherance of the vineyard and wine industries in the Garden State.
Founded in 1987, the association has driven exponential growth through wine education initiatives, cooperative marketing campaigns, and a slate of annual events dedicated to taking our wines across New Jersey, and encouraging enthusiasts to visit our wineries.
