Haddon Height’s “All Through the House” Holiday Hour Tour – Dec 4

Get ready to kick off the holidays with the Haddon Heights Library’s “All Through the House” Holiday House Tour. The library is celebrating the 32nd anniversary of the tour with 4 beautiful homes as well as the recently opened Stanfill Manor. We are very excited to share these wonderful homes with you and are happy to announce that we have a home from the new Glover Mill Village on our tour! This year’s tour is set for Friday, December 4. The tour runs from Noon – 3:30 p.m. & 6:30 – 10 p.m. The five locations are spread around Haddon Heights and will give tour goers a great look at different styles of homes. Participants are invited to drive from home to home on this self-guided tour.

Bordentown Holiday Chocolate Walk – Dec 4

Participating businesses open their doors for a FREE evening of fun and chocolate treats! Each business offers ‘Chocolate Walkers’ a tasty chocolate treat and a stamp in their Chocolate Passport. You’ll enjoy everything from a piece of chocolate, to brownies, and delicious chocolate-tini as you stroll the historic downtown business district. When you’re finished your Chocolate Walk just turn in your signed passport to be eligible for a drawing to win $50 in Bordentown Bucks!

Tomfoolery Brewing Grand Opening Weekend – Dec 4-5

Come on out and taste what your Local Craft Brewery has to offer! They will be serving their Pale Ale, India Pale Ale (IPA), Amber Ale and Brown Ale, along with limited quantities of Imperial Pumpkin Ale and Mocha Stout. Can’t get enough? Take home a growler!

Walker Stalker Con – Dec 4-6

Walker Stalker Con is the fruit of The Walker Stalkers Podcast with James & Eric. The podcast began with an amazing trip to Senoia, GA where James & Eric were able to view the set of The Walking Dead and meet the incredible actors from the show. As a result of this experience, a podcast began and then the idea of a convention focused around recreating that same experience with the cast and crew of the show, along with talented actors and artists from other zombie shows, movies and art.

DerpyCon – Dec 4 – 6

DerpyCon is a multi genre sci fi convention, celebrating the culture of science fiction, fantasy, animation, and beyond. DerpyCon 2014 will be located at the Hyatt Morristown in Morristown, NJ. The weekend event will have panels, LARPs, concerts, video gaming, cosplay, vendors, dances, table-top gaming, AMVs, and more!

Christkindlmarkt – Dec 4th – 6th

The 36th Annual Ship Bottom Christmas Parade is scheduled to begin at 1 pm along Long Beach Boulevard 5th St. to 25th St.

Yuletide Tour of Historic Salem, NJ – Dec 5

The 28th Annual Yuletide Tour of Historic Homes, Churches & Sites in Salem City, NJ. Several homes on tour have been previously featured in Early American Homes, Better Homes and Garden Magazine, New Jersey Countryside Magazine, and Make It Country by Judy Condon. Founded in 1675, Salem proudly displays a wide variety of homes on tour ranging from Early Colonial to Victorian era. Also included on the daily agenda is the Salem Magic of Christmas Parade at 11 am and the Salem Town Tree Lighting Ceremony at approximately 6:30 pm. More information will be available closer to the event date.

Christmas in the Pinelands – Dec 5

Join Hearts and Harleys on December 5th at Pinelands Brewery, as they host the 1st ever “Christmas in the Pinelands.” Pinelands Brewery, located in Tuckerton, NJ, has been around since March 2014, and has been a huge supporter of Hearts and Harleys, going back to their 1st Poker Run in July 2014. Pinelands has built a huge local following since its opening due to its great beer and friendly, relaxed atmosphere by the staff. With numberous varieties of beers on tap at all times, you are guaranteed to find something that you enjoy. Not a fan of beer? Try their homemade birch beer or cream soda instead!

Hearts and Harleys is also excited to announce that Haxterdam, made up of the acoustic duo of Chris & Brooke, will be playing from 2:30 to 5. Haxterdam plays a variety of unique music, including an acoustic version of Sir Mix-A-Lot’s “Baby Got Back,” and the Beastie Boys’ “Sabatoge.” If you’ve never had the chance to hear them, you are in for an enjoyable experience.

In addition, a Chinese Auction will also be hosted by Hearts and Harleys, featuring items donated from local merchants in Atlantic and Ocean Counties. As always, 100% of the net profits will go towards the Gavin Pabst Memorial Scholarship Fund.

Holiday Soiree at the Stickley Museum – Dec 5

Join The Stickley Museum at Craftsman Farms for a swinging Holiday Soiree on the evening of Saturday, December 5. This special after-hours party will feature live music and light refreshments, and the rare opportunity to visit the Log House in the evening. Edible Jersey Holiday Market – Dec 6

Gift local this holiday season! Edible Jersey in partnership with the Foodshed Alliance is excited to announce its first-ever Holiday Market. This fun and festive event – ideally timed for the holiday food and gift shopping season – will feature over 50 vendors, selling and sampling sweet and savory goodies, wine, cheese, coffee, beauty products, gift baskets, home goods, gift certificates, and more. Come check out locally produced, sourced and inspired holiday gifts and treats. The one-day Market will be held in The Willow School’s new LEED Platinum Certified Health and Wellness Center in Gladstone NJ, off Route 206, just a 10-minute drive from the intersection of I-78 and I-287. A suggested donation of $5 (under 17 free) will be collected at the door.
