NJIB’s Top Fifteen New Jersey Events September 9 – 11, 2022

Well, well, well… September is here! And it’s officially local Summer. Featured events include the NJ Taco Festival, the return of the Trenton Punk Rock Flea Market, Wildwood Restaurant Week, WMGK Brew Blaston the Battleship, and much more. September is my favorite month because it’s Summer AND Autumn and there’s plenty going on. Let’s leave the house to explore what NJ has to offer (or not, you do you). These are my top 15 New Jersey Events for September 9 – 11, 2022.

Feast of the Madonna Dei Martiri – The Hoboken Italian Festival
September 8 – 11

The Hoboken Italian Festival, the premier Italian-American festival in New Jersey is over 80 years old, and is derived from a festival in Italy that is over 600 years old. The Festival is a four day festival of music food and fun from Thursday through Sunday. No day is greater however than Saturday, their “Feast” day, when the 800lb statue of Madonna Dei Martiri or Madonna of the Martyrs is carried through the streets of Hoboken. This includes a reenactment of the Blessing of the Fleet in the Hudson River, culminating with a fireworks show over Sinatra Park. The Madonna is sailed around the Hudson before it returns to the church.

45th Annual Greek Festival
September 8 – 11

Join the fun at the 44th annual Greek Festival at St. Demetrios of Union. Be Greek for a weekend and you’ll love it! Authentic Greek food prepared on premises including soulvaki, gyro, pastries, and more. Plus live music, vendors, rides, and games.

Trenton Punk Rock Flea Market
September 10, 10AM – 5PM

The TPRFM is making the trip 45 minutes north and bringing 85,000 square feet of kick ass to the NJ Expo Center in Edison, NJ! Featuring more than 400+ small businesses, artists & makers, celebrity guests, live music, live tattooing, pop up shops. a silent disco, photo ops and so much more!

NJ Taco Festival

Manville Food Truck and Music Festival
September 10, 11AM – 7PM

The Trucks are rolling into Manville! Food! Beer! Music! Fun! It’s a fun filled family day! 20 delicious Gourmet Food Trucks, beer, margarita & sangria garden, Live Music, 50/50, axe throwing, kid activities including Pony rides, petting zoo, face painting, knockerball, inflatables, sand art & so much more! New Year’s in North Wildwood
September 10
Both the top Mummers Brigades AND top Mummers String Bands from the New Year’s Day Parade in Philadelphia will entertain crowds in the pub district of North Wildwood. The excitement kicks off Friday night at 6 p.m. with the Fancy Brigade Pub Crawl through local drinking establishments in the North Wildwood Entertainment District. A colorful Mummers parade will begin at 3 p.m. on Saturday along Olde New Jersey Avenue where you can get up-close views of the beautiful costumes and intricate dance steps.

Bayonne Arts Festival
September 10, 11AM – 6PM

The Bayonne Arts Festival is a celebration of art, music and dance in Bayonne, New Jersey. This September, we will host the Bayonne Arts Festival with an expected crowd of several thousand people from Bayonne and beyond!

South Jersey Apple Fest
September 10 & 11

The South Jersey Apple Fest, a two-day, apple themed festival, that will celebrate the beginning of the apple harvest season. This festival will be packed full of delicious desserts offered by Food Vendors at the show. Non-professional bakers are invited to enter their best apple dessert in our “Everything Apple Dessert Contest” on Saturday at 2pm. After judging, families visiting the festival will have the opportunity to sample the entries for free. The Apple Mascot will make an appearance both days and will be available for photos. Over 85 talented artists and crafters will offer amazing works from clothing to ceramics, paintings, pottery, glasswork, soaps, candles, quilting, woodworking, wreaths to handcrafted jewelry. Rows and rows of canopies will line the walkways.

Bergen County Food & Wine Festival
September 10 & 11, 12PM – 6PM

Dozens of Restaurants will serve up Bergen County’s finest fare, complete with beer, wine, and spirit tastings both local and from around the world. Entertainment, cooking demonstrations and competitions will only add to this celebration of Bergen County’s incredible culinary scene.

48th Annual Fall Chester Craft Show
September 10 & 11, 10AM – 5PM
