The Stickley Museum Beer Pairings Event with Garrett Oliver Nov 20
Delve into the art of pairing beer with food at a special event hosted by Garrett Oliver, brewmaster at the Brooklyn Brewery. Guests will enjoy a specially-curated five-course small plate dinner, with each plate expertly paired by Garrett with Brooklyn Brewery craft beers. Garrett will guide guests through the event, offering insights into the selected beers and pairings notes and entertaining with the charismatic style and in-depth knowledge that has made him world-renowned as a lecturer on the subject of beer.
The Beer Pairings event will be held on Friday, November 20, at 6:30 p.m. at the Park Avenue Club in Florham Park. Tickets are $100 per person ($50 per ticket is tax deductible; event benefits The Stickley Museum at Craftsman Farms) and reservations are required.

NJ “B-Swarm” Roller Derby Championship – Nov 21
North Arlington, NJ and the Garden State Rollergirls will host the championship game of the New Jersey roller derby tournament on the night of Saturday, November 21st. The opening bronze medal game pits the Jersey Shore Roller Girls v the Shore Points Roller Derby, while the gold medal game will see the Garden State Rollergirls look to take on the Jerzey Derby Brigade! The perfect way to kick off our first Holiday In the Park weekend is a Santa Run! Santa Run is a 5K race through the park and the Elf Run is a 1K race for the little ones.

My Favorite Chopin – Nov 22
Talented young winners of the year’s International Association for Musically Gifted Children, Inc. piano competition perform beloved works by Chopin in a free concert celebrating the centennial of iconic pianist Sviatoslav Richter. The performers (ages 5-16) who study with Dr. Bella E. Oster, principal of the European Academy of Music and Arts, Inc. in Maryland, present a program of the best of Chopin’s mazurkas, polonaises, waltzes, scherzos, ballades, impromptus, etudes and sonatas. Many of Oster’s students have been featured on recordings, were winners of major music competitions, and appeared on the world’s greatest concert stages, including the Kennedy Center, Carnegie Hall, Walt Disney Concert Hall, the National Arts Centre in Canada, the Krakow Philharmonic in Poland, the Musikverein in Austia, the Gasteig in Germany, Liszt Academy Concert Hall in Hungary, the concert halls of Oxford and Cambridge universities in England, and numerous other venues in the U.S. and abroad.
