The Maple Leaf Diner in Maplewood: Review

An authentic Greek diner located in the hip town of Maplewood, the Maple Leaf Diner is a great spot for you to check out.

This cute diner sits on Maplewood Ave in downtown Maplewood, situation in between lots of great independent stores. It’s a clearly a local hang out, especially for breakfast on Sunday morning…the place was packed!

The diner had all your favorite diner items (including disco fries made with gravy and mozzarella), Greek specialties, breakfast all day, and of course…diner specials that are a good price for an insane amount of food.

Unique Items on Their Menu Include:
– Chilled vegetable gazpacho
– Avgolemono, a Greek chicken lemon egg drop
– Their homemade Bean & Root Veggie Burger (Topped with avocado, red onion and chipotle mayo, served with sweet potato fries)
– Their Gluten Free Bread
– Broiled Athenian Stuffed Salmon With Spinach & feta

Because we were there for brunch time, I decided to get a omelette…something I haven’t ordered from a NJ diner in a long time. Ultimately I decided to get their Leo Omelette, which came with lox and onions. It was so much food!

I also got coffee, and the Maple Leaf Diner serves Arabica Coffee…one of my favorite New Jersey coffee distributors.

Overall, a lovely time at the Maple Leaf Diner! And although I didn’t purchase one, I definitely ogled at their giant cookies while I checked out…
