Lines on the Pines, celebrating the New Jersey Pine Barrens, set for March 12th

Lines on the Pines, an INDOOR event, celebrating the New Jersey Pine Barrens, is once again being held at the Historic Renault Winery, 72 North Bremen Avenue straddling EHC and Galloway Township. The 12th Annual Event will be held on Sunday, March 12, 2017 from 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM. This very popular book-signing, history, arts and craft show, and everything NJ Pine Barrens is FREE and open to the public and is presented by It’s a Sign of the Pines, a 501 (c) (3) NJ non-profit corporation.

Double your Experience on Sunday, March 12th, at this annual event and established South Jersey tradition. Lines on the Pines recognizes and honors, Authors & History as well as the Humanities & the Arts (AHHA) of our area. Both large buildings at Historic Renault Winery are being utilized and they will be connected and enclosed by tents completely covering the walkways. Once in the event, you can walk freely from building to building.

Our sponsors, Stockton University School of Arts and Humanities and the South Jersey Culture & History Center, AtlantiCare, Egg Harbor City Historical Society, Mullica in the Pines Historical Society, ACUA, Plexus Publishing, Inc. and many more, support us in welcoming many authors to the event. Included are: well-known favorites such as: Robert L Thompson, Burlington Biographies: A History of Burlington, NJ, Told Through the Lives & Times of Its People; Mark Maxwell, “Egg Harbor City”; Michael Gabriele, History of NJ Folk Revival Music 1700’s – Present; Dave Hart & John Calu, Adventures Along the Jersey Shore and John Hart: Portrait of a Patriot, and 20 other popular authors. Ted Gordon, historian, botanist, and photographer will be present selling books from his private collection and sharing historical information.

For the FIRST time, this huge AHHA event will include MANY activities and displays for the entire family. KIDS will have the opportunity to meet Gloria Repp author of the Friendship Bog Series and Pine Barrens coloring books and Shirley O’Neil author of Leapy. KIDS can make baskets with Stephen Carty of Pinelands Folk Music and Basketry, and get a cool design by Heather Hires, Face Painter extraordinaire.

Also participating in the event are: Kayak Karl of Pine Barrens Adventures providing tips on “Hiking Safety”; Thru Our Eyes, Imagery with Loralea Kirby and Zachary offer a “Hands-On and Sensory Nature Exhibit” with objects from the NJ Pine Barrens; Jenkinson’s Aquarium and Woodford Cedar Run Wildlife Refuge will showcase live animals and raptor species of the Pine Barrens.

Join us on Sunday, March 12th and meet over 90 Pine Barrens Celebrities such as local artist: Meed Barnett of “Mixed Media” with hand-forged jewelry; Niki Giberson of Swan Bay Folk Art Center baskets and jams; Thomas G. Southard, “Pinelands Horticultural Designs” made of branches, vines and moss – Furniture, and Pinelands Plants; South Jersey Guild of Spinners and Handweavers with Irene Charney; Barbara & Ray Nyman of Nyman Decoys and many more artists, crafters, website hosts, musicians, and film makers including Kirk Jarvis with his DVD ~ “Lines on the Pines – Carved in Pine Barrens History; Throughout the day-long event, the musical trio “Cranberry Jam” will be playing traditional folk songs.

We are also very pleased to share that for the first time participating at Lines on the Pines will be the Camden County Historical Society, Burlington County K9 Search and Rescue, Wine & Whiskey Barrel Decor, and Jersey Devil Pine Barrens Tours and more organizations and historical societies.

Dinner following the day-long event is sold out. Highlights during the dinner will be a presentation by Gary Giberson, “Adventure in Bird Carving” and a brief clip of David Kessler’s film, The Pine Barrens accompanied by members of the Ruins of Friendship Orchestra.
