The Jackson Hole Diner in Englewood: Review
Located in Englewood, the Jackson Hole Diner is a vintage looking diner that includes classic coca cola bottles, an outdoor seating area, and neon lights.
I have been recommend Jackson Hole time and time again, so when I completed a road trip to New England we decided it would be our first stop in NJ on the way home. To say that it was a great way to be welcomed back to the Garden State is an understatement.
Started in 1972, the Jackson Hole began as a restaurant in NYC and has a total of 5 different locations including another NYC location, 2 in Queens, and of course the diner in Englewood, NJ.
The interior of the diner is cozy and definitely has the classic diner 1950’s look from their retro diner counter to their mini jukeboxes on the table. Fresh flowers on the table? Oh Jackson Hole…you get me.
The diner is known for their popular special blend 7oz house-aged beef burgers and their chicken “bronco” sandwiches. Other items that stood out to me on their menu include:
– A guacamole omelette
– Oatmeal pancakes and waffles
– The Rustler Sandwich, A grilled shell steak sandwich served with Swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato & raw onion
– West Coast Vegetarian Sandwich, Sauteed broccoli, mushrooms & onions covered with melted cheddar, served on a garlic toasted semolina roll.
– Hot Chocolate Float and Cappuccino “Floats” (served with a scoop of ice cream and fresh whipped cream)
Ultimately I went with one of their Chicken Bronco Sandwich, specifically the Guacamole Chicken Sandwich which came with melted cheddar, warm corn tortilla chips, guacamole & sour cream on the side. AND the sandwich was served on garlic semolina bread. Soooooo good.
My husband went with the Chicken Fingers Parmigiana Sandwich, which is exactly what it sounded like. He decided not to deluxe it with fries, which was a great choice considering how big the sandwich was.
Oh yeah…and we got complimentary pickles! That was a fun surprise.
The Jackson Hole may have been a little bit more expensive than your average diner, but for the quality and quantity of the food I highly recommend it.
