Grab a Beer on the Farm at Source Farmhouse Brewery
On a beautiful warm Winter day I stopped by Source Brewery, a farmhouse style brewery located in Colts Neck. The brewery is housed in former dairy farm dating back to the 19th century, located on Route 34 next door to Delicious Orchards and Colts Neck Stillhouse.
At Source Brewery you can enjoy a rotating list of beers. Their ingredients are sourced from local farmers and in true farmhouse brewery tradition are brewed in sync with the local harvests. You can keep up with their taproom items on their website.
The day were there they had a New England IPA (called the Source of Happiness), a Strawberry Kiwi Banana Milkshake NEIPA, Three Threads (a brown porter that also came in nitro), the Hoppy Farmhouse Saison, and the Source of Darkness (an Imperial Stout).
The brewery does not offer flights, but you can enjoy tasting size samples of their beer. Their beer comes in a variety of sizes.
The interior of the diner is GORGEOUS. I love their farmhouse style decor from top to bottom. They also have a private room for parties upstairs which was a nice touch.
There are plenty of places to enjoy a brew at this location – inside the taproom, their front yard patio, the backyard biergarten, the upstairs mezzanine, or on the rooftop terrace. We were lucky that it was nice enough that day to drink outside. Plus dogs are allowed at their outside locations!
