Golden Corner Diner in Bound Brook, NJ: Review

Located in Bound Brook, the Golden Corner Diner is a cute, hometown diner that can also be described as a hidden gem. I arrived at 11am on a weekday and the place was hopping, and that’s not surprising considering it was rated at one of the Top Ten Diners in New Jersey by NJ 101.5.

I was instantly charmed by the interior of the diner with it’s cherry wood walls and it’s green cushion seating.

Their diner counter is also super cute! Overall I loved the decor of this diner.

When it came to ordering food, the Golden Corner Diner has all of your typical diner classics. Expect to find lots of homemade goodies like their waffles and other breakfast meals, plus their “Golden Corner Special” which is a marinated open faced steak sandwich. Nom nom nom.

I entered the diner without any caffeine in my system so coffee was a must. I loved that the coffee comes with real milk, and it also came it’s in own saucer. Plus unlimited refills. They also serve New Jersey’s own Lacas coffee, so I appreciated that they keep their coffee local and delicious.

Despite being caffeine deprived when I arrived, I was not very hungry. I was about to order my normal meal when I’m not feeling too hungry, a chicken salad sandwich, but instead I switched it up and got a SHRIMP salad sandwich (yolo) which was very good. I ordered it on rye and it came with a side of fries. A cheap, easy meal.

I truly enjoyed the Golden Corner Diner and was pleasantly surprised at their great customer service, homey atmosphere, and quality food with a diverse menu.
