Getting my Yoga on With Apeiron!
This week I did something I haven’t done in a long time…yoga! I had an opportunity to check out Pure Yoga in Toms River to try out Apeiron yoga mats, a new slip-proof, eco-friendly yoga mat created and manufactured in New Jersey. If you read this blog, you know I love supporting New Jersey products.
I know the basics of yoga, so I took the easiest class that Pure Yoga provides. Although I struggled with some of the moves, I was impressed by how much I could actually handle.
I really loved the atmosphere of the yoga studio, and the teacher was amazing. If you’re looking for a yoga studio in Toms River, I would highly recommend them.
My current yoga mat retails for $5, so to say it isn’t the best yoga mat is an understatement. What I loved about the Apeiron yoga mat was that you can get a really good grip on it, and actually gain more stability the more you sweat. It’s perfect for hot yoga!
Their yoga mats are also very beautiful. And did I mention they’re from New Jersey? Apeiron’s headquarters are based in NJ and founder, Adam Binder, is the master-mind behind the brand. When Binder started doing yoga he realized his yoga mat wasn’t great for sweat and that the mats themselves weren’t too creative. As a graphic designer he was able to create gorgeous yoga mats that tied into his new passion for yoga.
Apeiron is a Greek word that means “infinite” or “limitless”. By creating Apeiron he wanted to create a community for like-minded people who strive to push themselves past their comfort zones and are always willing to try something new.
