Downtown Holly’s Fire & Ice Festival Returns January 28

The Annual “Fire and Ice Festival” in Mount Holly, NJ returns Saturday, January 28th, 2023 starting at 10am-4:30pm on High Street and Mill Race Village. The family-friendly event is free to attend.

It started off years ago as an Ice Carving Contest where ice carvers came to Mount Holly to compete.  A Chili Cooking Contest was the following month.  It was decided to combine them into one day and hence we have “The Fire (Chili Contest) and Ice (Ice Carving Demonstration) Festival.

The festival has grown to include Jersey Sands Dog Sled demonstrations, curling demonstrations by the Jersey Pinelands Curling Club, interactive axe throwing as well as an Ice Carving Demonstration.

Other activities include fire engine rides, Home Depot crafts for Kids held at the Rowan College Burlington County building, as well as Cedar Run Wildlife and their animal ambassadors.

The main draw is the over Ten Ice Carvers each carving 600 lbs of ice and a dozen chili chefs serving up the Best in Burlington County.  Thousands of spectators come from the Tri-State area and beyond to attend the Festival.

The festival is enjoyed by all ages and is a family event.

Festival goers enjoy the festival as well as the restaurants, breweries, distillery, wine-tasting venues, and quaint shops that are in Mill Race Village and on Main Street.  The historical buildings and sites add to the ambiance of the day.

Mount Holly welcomes all to enjoy the festival, beautiful historic town, as well as the quaint shops, wine tasting, and breweries.
