United States Super 8 Film and Digital Video Festival – Feb 20 -22
View the winning films and digital videos of the International U.S. Super 8 Film + Digital Video Festival, selected by a jury of filmmakers, Rutgers University students, and media professionals. The festival – now in its 27th year – will feature finalist works by independent filmmakers from the United States and around the world. Wicked Winter Renaissance Faire X – Feb 20 – 22
The Wicked Winter Renaissance Faire is an alternative, indoor Renaissance Faire unbounded by normalcy. Wicked Faire X’s theme is “A Game Of Scones”. It incorporates and welcomes those from all manner of points in space and time — Klingons and cavemen, werewolves and Steampunks, magicians and time travelers . . . and, of course, Faire folk of all sorts. There’s more. Our event is also 16+, and there are areas of our event which are adult in nature — though that’s only one aspect of the event. This also means the faire need not avoid adult subjects in art, games or entertainment – though it need not be those things exclusively.

UWC Live Professional Wrestling – Feb 21
The New Egypt Elks Lodge announces they will host their first of three scheduled Pro Wrestling events on Saturday January 24, 2015 at the lodge, located at 105 Lakewood Road in New Egypt. Well known and loved family community group, United Wrestling Coalition will provide the evenings entertainment. UWC has been running family friendly pro wrestling events for nearly 19 years and has helped countless charitable organizations such as Toys for Tots, Muscular Dystrophy Association, Youth sporting groups, firehouses and individuals with handicaps, to name just a few. On Saturday February 21, 2015 the doors will open at 6:30 PM. Fans will have a chance to meet some of the wrestlers, as well as get something to eat, prior to the 7:00 PM Belltime.

3rd Annual Chili Cook Off St. Patrick’s Day Parade Fundraiser – Feb 22
There will be two contests, the “Professional” Cook Off (commercial) and the “Amateur” Cook Off (residents). Once the chili lovers have tasted all chili, they will vote for their favorite and drop their ballot in the ballot box. The results will be tallied and the winners will be announced! Prizes will be awarded to the winners. In addition to the People’s Choice, there will be an independent panel of 5 judges.
