Dining Out for Red Bank Restaurant Week at Front St. Trattoria
I love to eat, and getting to try new places and supporting local businesses is one of my favorite things to do. Red Bank is currently holding their bi-annual Restaurant Week, and I took it as an opportunity to try out a new place!
Open since 1985, Front St. Trattoria has been one of downtown Red Bank’s top restaurants. With a menu ranging from Italian specialties, salads, sandwiches, and pizza there is something for everyone at this cozy restaurant.
Their restaurant week menu consisted of an appetizer, and entree, and dessert. Appetizers ranged from the unique (like their Italian Wonton Dumplings), the healthy (like their Grilled Shrimp & Long Stem artichokes and salads), and homemade soup.
While looking over the menu we were brought fresh focaccia bread which was SO good. I would have happy eaten only that for dinner…for real.
I started my meal with Grilled Shrimp & Long Stem artichokes with balsamic tomato & onion dice. Since I’ve been trying to eat healthier, I thought it was a perfect option for me…and I was right!
Entrees included their classic Eggplant Parmigiana, Shrimp, Asparagus, & Porcini Mushrooms, Fresh Salmon of the Day, and my dinner: Grilled Cheese Ravioli.
Just hearing Grilled Cheese Ravioli made my mouth water. Brushed w/ olive oil & herbs then toasted on the grill served with homemade tomato sauce…you cannot go wrong.
We ended our meal on a high note with the chef’s choice for the night, which happened to be their delicious rice pudding served with fresh mango and strawberries and topped with whipped cream.
I could eat this every day and be happy. It was DELICIOUS!
Be sure to check out this beautiful restaurant in downtown Red Bank. It’s great for couples, families, and girls night out!
