A Diner Review Re-Do: The Old Bridge Diner

For my second diner re-do, I picked a spot that I first reviewed in April 2014 almost five years ago. The Old Bridge Diner is my local diner, and recently is under new management so I figured it was time for a new review.

The diner is located on route 527 in Old Bridge and it stands out during your drive due to it’s classic chrome and red exterior. It’s a very cozy diner with a great diner counter and seating for maybe under 100 people. On a Sunday afternoon it was PACKED but luckily we were able to secure seating.

The diner offers all your favorites from breakfast all day, sandwiches, big entees and more. Here are a few things that stand out:
– specialty coffees like lattes, cappuccinos, mochas and more
– “colossal” sub sandwiches
– London broil and sirloin steak
– pierogies
– black angus burgers
– lots and lots of breakfast options including pigs in a blanket (sausages wrapped in pancakes)
– really great desserts including FLAN CHEESECAKE
– and homemade soups which are also available for take out

I changed my order at the last minute while staring at other customer’s meals so I ended up with a Belgian waffle with mixed berries.

I mean look at it…wouldn’t you order this as well? Of course you would!

The Old Bridge Diner has homemade affordable meals, which is really all I can ask for in a diner. I have never ordered anything from there that I didn’t enjoy, so I’m glad it’s in my neighborhood.
