Diner Round Up – Town and Surf Diner in Atlantic Highlands

The last time I was in Atlantic Highlands I noticed a small diner called the Town and Surf diner that looked adorable. I made a mental note to return there the next time I was in town.

For starters, the diner is bigger than it looks (not by much, but it is). It also has this really cute counter you can sit at as well:

I really loved their menu and had a lot of trouble making a decision. They handed out a list of specials for the day in which everything on it looked amazing.

Ultimately, I decided on getting the “Baja Shrimp” panini (which is on their every day menu). They have a list of sandwiches where you can choose between a panini or a wrap. I always go panini. I also love that they make their bread in house, that is not something you see every day.

My panini had shrimp, avocado, onion, and cheddar cheese.  It was fresh and delicious. I felt safe ordering a shrimp dish since I was near the shore. Not only did the shrimp taste great, but there was a good serving of it too. The fries were good too! You can’t go wrong with steak fries.

The diner is also in a great location on 1st Avenue in Atlantic Highlands. Nearby neighbors are First Avenue Playhouse, Carton Brewing and the Flaky Tart bakery.

Definitely check it out!
