Diner Round Up – Palace Diner in Berlin, NJ
The Palace Diner is located in Berlin (“South Jersey”) right off of Route 73.
This diner was really nice. They had a nice counter full of patrons, a full dessert case, it was pretty silver and shiny inside. It is definitely what you think of when you think of a “New Jersey Diner”. Plus, it’s 24 hours which is one of my favorite qualities in a diner. They also have TVs at every booth, which is an odd choice and was a little distracting.
They have a pretty big menu, and it was hard to decide what ultimately to get. I wasn’t too hungry, so I decided on getting a chicken cheesesteak which is always a safe choice. Plus I have a theory that the closer you are to Philly, the better the cheesesteak.
True to NJ diner form, the food came out immediately. We were in and out in 35 minutes, which is pretty wild.
My husband got eggs with “Taylor Pork Roll”. That’s what it said in the menu, please do not argue with me!!
I really enjoyed this diner! Check it out if you’re in the area. They also have a bar if you want to stop by for a drink.
Oh yeah… they deliver AND cater so you can enjoy their food even if you don’t go there directly. Bring the diner home with you!
