Diner Round Up – Daphne’s Diner in Robbinsville
I recently got to visit Daphne’s Diner in Robbinsville with my good friend and fellow blogger, Hollie aka FueledbyLolz.
Daphne’s Diner is one of those places you’ve driven by a thousand times on Route 130 that you’ve always wondered about. Since this diner is perfectly placed in between mine and Hollie’s locations, we decided to meet there for dinner.
One of the first things I immediately liked about the diner was that it’s train car style, much like the Victoria Diner & the Summit Diner. When I think of NJ Diners, my first thought goes to this style of diner. It’s unique and it’s cozy. (And yes, when we were there we were the only people there)
This diner does a lot of great weekday specials. We were there on a Tuesday night which is “Steak Night” ($16.95 for soup or salad, steak, potato and veggie) but I opted to go for a different dinner special on their menu: grilled tilapia tacos! It came with a soup or salad, and I decided to go for the salad, seen here:
My tacos were delicious and very well presented. They were a little messy when it came time to eat them, but I’m usually messy anyway.
Price wise, they had options that were reasonable and some a little expensive. My meal cost me about $16, but I could have had a sandwich under $10.
Overall, a great diner experience with excellent food. I recommend it.
Bonus: They offer really great coffee! Hollie had a few refills…
