The Country Town Diner in Berlin: Review
The Country Town Diner, formerly known as the White Horse Diner, is located on White Horse Pike in Berlin, New Jersey. It’s renaming comes with new ownership as well, so if you haven’t been to this diner spot in a while it will be brand new to you.
The Country Town Diner is a good name for the place, since it definitely has a “country” feel to it. They have a cute diner counter, but overall the model of the restaurant is not completely typical for a NJ diner (especially compared to the New Berlin Diner down the road).
Their menu is very large and everything listed is super affordable. If you’re not coming in hungry, it may be difficult for you to make a decision since everything comes with a lot…especially their specials like their “Early Bird” which is served every day from 11am to 8pm.
In terms of the food on their menu, the Country Town Diner offers your typical diner fare like breakfast all day, sandwiches, burgers, etc.
Because I wasn’t very hungry I ordered the meal I usually order when I want something small, a chicken salad sandwich. They list their sandwich as “homemade real chicken salad” so I felt like this was a safe option. For only $6, the sandwich comes with soup and fries. That’s a pretty sweet deal.
Although this diner may not stand out for anything super special, I will say that their food and their amazing prices make it worth checking out if you’re a diner aficionado like me.
