Brewery Review: Spellbound Brewing in Mount Holly
When I visited Spellbound Brewery a few weeks ago, it was my last stop on a three brewery tour of just some of the breweries in South Jersey. I have already written a review for stop #1, Lunacy Brewing Co and Stop #2 Village Idiot Brewing Co which is also in Mount Holly.
Like Lunacy Brewing, Spellbound Brewing was also in a warehouse area, but since it’s been around a little longer it looks a little bit nicer on your way to the door. First you are greeted by these gates:
Then you walk down a path, which has outside seating for the brewery for when the weather is nice.
Then you walk into the tap room, which was cozy, but really well put together.
From the window behind the bar, you can see the production of the beer which is actually really cool.
Since I like to try as much as possible (within reason), we decided to get a beer flight.
I’m at @Spellboundbrew aka brewery no.3 of the day! Tasting @NJCraftBeer collab triple #njcraftbeer #njisntboring pic.twitter.com/vUEK0hlESV

Beers I tried While I was There:
– Pale Ale 5.5%
– Palo Santo Porter 6.9% (Seasonal)
– NJ Craft Beer Collaboration Triple 8.5% ABV
– Peach 2x IPA 7.5% ABV (Seasonal)
The beer was all phenomenal. I’m not a huge porter fan, but I always like to try it, but this one I really enjoyed.
What’s great about these local spots is that their always adding to their beer line up. Here is the line up when we went, but when you go (and you should go) you could have something completely different.
This really is a great place to hang out, drink and chill. The day I went there were lots of families, adults ranging from 21 to 70, and you can bring in your food so people were enjoying pizza, Philly pretzels and more. I wish I lived closer!
Like all the other breweries I’ve touring lately, we left will a full growler (of the NJ Craft Beer Collab Triple). We enjoyed it with our friends with pizza the next day :
