Blues, Wine & BBQ Festival: Glassboro’s Can’t-Miss Event Happens June 21–22

What started as a modest wine gathering in the scenic stretches of Washington Lake Park has grown into one of South Jersey’s most anticipated summer traditions. After thriving for years in Washington Township, the festival made a successful move to the Gloucester County Fairgrounds, rebranding as Sip Into Summer and welcoming an ever-growing fanbase. As the event evolved, it adopted a name as bold and flavorful as the experience itself — The Blues, Wine & BBQ Festival.

Now, in 2025, this iconic celebration of smoky flavors, soulful sounds, and spirited fun is turning up the heat once again. The festival will make its exciting debut at Glassboro Town Square — a lively, walkable urban setting that perfectly captures the event’s communal, music-filled vibe. This year’s edition promises to be bigger, bolder, and better than ever in partnership with the Borough of Glassboro, blending community, culture, and culinary craft right in the heart of town.

Festivalgoers can mark their calendars for Saturday and Sunday, June 21–22, from 12 PM to 5 PM for two full days of summer indulgence. The irresistible aroma of slow-smoked BBQ will fill the air as renowned pitmasters like Slabhouse, Big Pappa Jai’s, and Garner’s Craft BBQ serve up plates of smoky perfection. Dessert lovers won’t want to miss sweet favorites from Dan’s Waffles and House of Cupcakes.

Of course, no summer gathering is complete without the perfect pairing. Attendees can sip their way through offerings from a dozen of New Jersey’s finest wineries, including Valenzano Winery, Plagido’s Winery, Wagonhouse Winery, Tomasello Winery, and more.

Adding a soundtrack to the feast, the weekend will feature live blues performances from Peter V & The Blues Train on Saturday and Fish Eyed Blue on Sunday, setting a soulful tone for both afternoons.

Visitors can also browse a curated vendor marketplace filled with handmade goods, gourmet treats, and summer essentials from local artisans. Bring a lawn chair, grab a glass, and soak in the sun-drenched square for a weekend of food, music, and community connection.

Admission is free for spectators and guests under 21. Wine sampling tickets are $20 in advance (plus fees) online through June 20 at 11:59 PM, and $25 (cash only) at the gate. Parking is free all weekend long.

Whether you’re a wine lover, BBQ devotee, blues enthusiast — or all three — the Blues, Wine & BBQ Festival in Glassboro is the ultimate way to kick off the summer season.
