Diner Review #279: Angelo’s Diner in Glassboro, NJ
One of the most mentioned diners to me to visit is Angelo’s Diner in downtown Glassboro, NJ. This classic, cash only diner has been in operation since 1946.
I’m a fan of a small vintage train car diners, and when I know that their cash only I can look forward to cheap prices. Angelo’s Diner is definitely the cheapest diner I’ve ever been to. By far. The diner is steps away from Rowan University, and I’m sure college students appreciate their prices.
The diner offers all your classic diner favorites like burgers, sandwiches, steaks, and seafood. They offer a different homemade soup per day. Desserts range from homemade pies, puddings, and jello. It’s a simple menu that doesn’t try to be complicated.
Ultimately I order a chicken cheesesteak (it was $3.60!) with a side of mozzarella sticks ($4.99) since that was the newest thing added to their menu.
The mozzarella sticks were homemade and delicious, and the only complaint is that I would have liked more. I also really enjoyed my chicken cheese steak which although small was very filling.
In total the chicken cheese steak, mozzarella sticks, turkey burgers, two eggs platter, french fries, and a diet coke came to $23. $23! That’s it!
With quick and easy service, great good, and the most affordable diner to date…lunch at Angelo’s Diner was a real treat. I’m so glad I finally took the trip there!
