Alexis Diner in Denville, NJ: Review

Voted as the #1 Diner in Morris County, the Alexis Diner in Denville lives up to the hype! Located on Route 10, this diner was a very surprising and lovely experience.

Opened in 1990 by Alex Stavros and his wife Teddi, the diner has been serving Morris County for 27 years. The diner most recently had a makeover giving it a new style!

Starting from the inside, the interior of the Denville Diner has that classic diner chrome look that I love. It was so cozy and so retro that I was smitten before even opening the menu.

On to the menu…

The diner has a lot of amazing options from your traditional diner fare to gluten free, vegetarian, and vegan options as well. Items that stood out to me included their Taylor Ham French Fries, flatbreads, sliders, unique sandwiches, homemade turkey and chicken burgers, many Greek specialties, and some decadent breakfast items.

While everything looked amazing making it harder to make a decision (a decision that took my longer than usual), I ended up getting “Challah Grilled Cheese”. Yes, grilled cheese on Challah french toast.

On top of this fantastic sandwich, I also had one of the best fries I’ve ever had at a diner. The Alexis Diner has their own “Pappous Fries”, a Greek style of french fries sprinkled with cheese. So crispy, so good. I can’t stop thinking about them.

Side Note: They also sell their own Pappous Salad Dressing, an authentic Greek dressing is made from Imported Extra Virgin olive oil, balsamic vinegar, & a blend of 18 special herbs & spices.

The Alexis Diner also has some AMAZING desserts in their counter. They looked so enticing that my friend took some cheesecake to go!

Although I didn’t have any dessert (because I was full), I did get to try one of their “famous” chocolate cookies which were very good. And they sell them to go!

Overall, I had a great experience at the Alexis Diner. They get a rave review from me due to their menu, ambiance, customer service, and quality of food.
