Manny’s Diner in Clark: Review
When you head to a New Jersey Diner on a weekday afternoon around 11:30am and the place is so busy you can barely find a parking spot…you know you found something good. That is exactly what happened when my friend Hollie (FueledbyLOLZ.com) and I visited Manny’s Diner in Clark.
Located on Raritan Rd close to downtown Clark, Manny’s Diner is a decent sized diner that offers everything from classic diner food, a full liquor license WITH a bar, and plenty of desserts in their dessert counter to temp you.
The diner has a massive menu, making it super difficult to make any kind of decision. If you’re looking for an authentic Greek diner, then you have found it! In addition to their Greek specialties, they literally have everything else including the “Belly Buster” which is a short stack of pancakes or french toast, eggs, bacon, sausage, ham, and home fries.
Since we were there for lunch, and I couldn’t ignore their delicious sounding lunch specials which included soup. All of their soups and chili are proudly homemade. I opted for matzoh ball (my favorite), which was very hearty.
For my main course, I had the Honey Balsamic Crispy Calamari salad. This salad was right up my alley! Fried calamari, baby arugula, red onions, tomatos, cucumbers, and shaved parmesean. The honey balsamic dressing was AMAZING.
I was very full from my meal, otherwise I would have been tempted to get their famous “Banana Royal Ala Manny” which is a glorified banana split. It looked amazing.
Overall this was a pleasant diner experience with fantastic food and service!
