There’s no better way to celebrate than with a visit to NJBG, where you’ll find the beauty of nature and a soothing respite from this busy world, plus a number of special programs. NJBG is open 8am to 8pm every day, free of charge.

Earth Day Beach Cleanup

Cape May Brewing Company is joining forces with Iron Hill in Voorhees and Surfrider Foundation South Jersey — a non-profit, activist organization dedicated to the protection and enjoyment of the world’s ocean, waves, and beaches — to celebrate the release of Twin Fin, a collaboration New England IPA between CMBC and Iron Hill, with a much-needed cleanup of Higbee Beach.

Earth Day at The New Weis Center

Earth Day Meditation and Yoga
April 20, 10AM – 11:45AM
Come celebrate Earth Day at High Point State Park on Saturday, April 20, with meditation and yoga. Start your day off right with an uplifting guided meditation from 10:00 – 10:30 am. Doors will then open for a Yoga on the Mountain class from 10:45 am -11:45 am.

CMC 2019 Earth Day
April 20, 10AM – 4PM
The Annual Cape May County Earth Day Fair is more than just a day in the park. The Cape May County Board of Chosen Freeholders has planned a long list of eco-friendly events for the celebration to be held at the Cape May County Park and Zoo. Kids will enjoy story time, inflatable obstacle course & slide, an interactive drum circle, hands-on educational exhibits, free entertainment, naturalist hike, food and crafts and much more.

The Amazing Arboretum Challenge: Earth Day Edition

Are you ready for a fun, new challenge? Come to the Arboretum after school on April 22 for a very special Earth Day edition of the Arboretum Challenge! Kids will learn how to use a map and a compass so that they can search for clues to solve a puzzle. The themed riddles are sure to make you think, all while learning more about the importance of Earth Day. Registration is required.

Island Heights Earth Day Celebration

Celebrate this beautiful planet we live in! There will be Eco Friendly Vendors and Stands with information about different topics related to green living and the environment. The event encourages volunteers to come for a Townwide Cleanup, gardens and Bioswale maintenance, and enjoy the town’s beautiful views while helping the environment.

Earth Day Festival
April 27, 10AM – 2PM

Celebrate Earth Day by joining The Land Conservancy of New Jersey for free, family fun for all ages at our South Branch Preserve, North Tract, home to our Community Garden, Farm, and Forest Restoration site. Lots of activities for kids including seed plantings and a scavenger hunt. A guided, easy hike will be available at 11:00 AM, lasting approximately one hour. Stay as long as you like to visit the wildlife blind, where you may see water fowl and birds of prey, and maybe catch a glimpse of Project Chew goats who work to keep invasive plants out of the preserve.

Northern Valley Earth Fair

From face painting to a petting zoo and a live animal show to other educational shows, you’ll have entertained environmentals in no time. This free educational event is all about being “green”–a variety of exhibitors and educators will be on hand to demonstrate ways to protect and preserve our environment. Dozens of vendors will be offering product and services that can help our communities become more sustainable. The Earth Fair also presents a petting zoo, live world music, and traditional American Indian performers.

Holmdel’s 21st Annual Earth Day Festival

Bayonet Farm is an idyllic location for this educational and fun “rain or shine” event, as all performances take place inside handsome preserved barns.

Westfield Earth Day Fair & Free Market
May 4, 9AM – 3PM

An Earth Day Celebration will be held Saturday, May 4, at the South Avenue Train Station Parking Lot with a rain date of May 11. Activities will include the following:
Kids craft – Visitors can make their own reusable bags with an old T-shirt. All children are invited to bring an old T-shirt and easily transform it into a reusable, fun bag without the need for any sewing.
Tree sapling giveaway – Multiple varieties will be distributed along with instructions on planting/growing.
Free reusable bags and metal straws will be given away.
Informational brochures on environmental topics, nature, energy efficiency and more will be available.
Activist table – Sign onto a “no idling” pledge, send postcards to national corporations known to be biggest plastic polluters.
Recycling Wheel Q&A game – Test your knowledge about Westfield’s recycling rules and see our recycling exhibit/learn about what you can use the Conservation Center.

10th Sustainable South Jersey Earth Festival
May 4, 10AM – 2PM
The theme is “Reduce Plastic, Fantastic!” This event draws in 5,000 visitors and has more than 90 displays! There will be free tree seedlings (while supplies last), family-friendly entertainment, fun, crafts, and healthy food for purchase. Register for the Family Bike Ride starting at 8 AM!

Bogota’s Earth Day 2019

In honor of Earth Day, Bogota Beautiful is partnering with local organizations and community volunteers to clean up and beautify different areas in Bogota for the fifth year in a row. This is a great opportunity for you to bring your kids and friends to meet others, learn about our environment, and make an impact on quality of life. As in years past, we’ll target locations in town that volunteers will work together to clean up and beautify, including a public art Fence Weaving installation activity at Olsen Park. There will be a few, short education sessions by local organizations highlighting environmental topics. There will be free snacks and drinks available to all volunteers.

2019 Ninth Annual Edison Earth Day Celebration
May 5, 9AM – 3PM
The Ninth Annual Edison Earth Day Celebration will be co-presented by the Township of Edison, Edison Sustainable Jersey Green Team (ESJGT), Edison Clean Communities Program (ECCP) and Edison Township Environmental Commission (ETEC). This no cost, annual, outdoor, family-friendly, sustainable event will be staged at Papaianni Park. Participants are encouraged to bring donations of non-perishable foods for the Hands of Hope and the Community Food Pantry.
