The Warren County Farmers Fair & Hot Air Balloon Festival Takes Flight July 23 – August 3
The Warren County Farmers Fair, featuring the Hot Air Balloon Festival, is a beloved family tradition, offering a blend of agricultural heritage and unique entertainment. This year’s event will take place from Saturday, July 27 to Saturday, August 3, in Harmony Township, NJ, just a short drive from Phillipsburg and easily accessible from Rt. 78.
The Hot Air Balloon Festival is a highlight, with evening launches at 6:30 pm and tethered rides available for $20-$30 per person. Special shape balloons, including Fred G. Monster and a Flying Pig, will make appearances on select evenings. Visitors can book full flights in advance by contacting 908-283-0721 or emailing fly@balloonfestnj.com.
In addition to the balloon festivities, the fair offers a variety of activities such as demolition derbies, truck and tractor pulls, and the new Black Cat Hell Riders Stunt Car Show. Attendees can also enjoy traditional fair experiences, including the Agricultural Olympics, a car, truck, and tractor show, and Home & Garden building contests featuring crafts, baking, and more.
For children, the Kids’ Corral provides crafts, contests, and entertainment, including a Foam Party on Saturdays. The fair also features local music acts, a beer garden, and special days like Veteran’s Day on July 28, offering free admission to veterans and active-duty military, and Seniors Day on July 29, with free admission for seniors showing a Medicare card.
The fairgrounds will also showcase horse shows, 4-H and FFA exhibits, an antique tractor show, carnival rides, and a variety of food options including funnel cakes, roasted corn, fresh lemonade, and homemade pies.
