NJIB’s Review of The Voorhees Diner
I had heard good things about the Voorhees Diner, so when I found myself in the area I knew I had to check it out.
Located on Route 73, the diner sits among many shops and restaurants. There’s plenty of places to eat in the area, but if you’re looking for a true New Jersey food experience I highly recommend stopping by the Voorhees Diner.
They’ve only been open since 2014, but they’ve already become popular in Camden County. They even have their own adorable personal diner mugs.
Their menu has EVERYTHING. Breakfast, pizza, hot dogs, burgers…and all your favorite diner classics including lots and lots of Greek specialties. Literally think of anything you want to eat, and I bet you that the Voorhees Diner has it. They event have an eclectic list of appetizers, including this beautiful hummus platter.
In addition to their food menu, the Voorhees diner also has a full bar, and because they’re a 24-hour diner you can also get alcohol 24/7. They have a full list of “eye-openers” which are their morning cocktails, including some fancy mimosas. Looking for something non-alcoholic? They have plenty of coffee beverages, and I hear their “frozen hot chocolate” is pretty awesome.
After weighing all the many options, I ended up getting one of my go to diner options which is a chicken gyro. For a very reasonable price my sandwich came with a soup… (side note: they have their own homemade snapper soup, but I opted for matzoh ball)
and a side of Greek Salad and fries. And the fries were well done, which was a major plus!
The diner also claims to have the best tasting burgers due to “superior cooking”. I guess you’ll have to see for yourself. I did not, but my husband got this turkey burger which looked really good, and has an amazing looking fresh bun.
I left the diner FULL, which is a shame because their desserts are so tempting. If you go, can you pick me up a cookie monster cupcake?
