Uncovering Secret Menu Items at Urban Bricks in Paramus

I’m all about fast and casual restaurants these days, especially when I’m traveling. I stopped by Urban Bricks located in Paramus this month for a bite to eat and was pleasantly surprised.

Open since August 2020, Urban Bricks features pizza, pasta, salad, and wings at an affordable price point. You can order off their menu or create your own option with their variety of sauces and toppings.

As a pizza enthusiast, I was impressed that they make their own dough fresh daily, that they had vegan options (for my vegan friends), and it’s all made it front of you from start to finish. To cook their pizza they used an authentic Italian stone hearth oven which cooks quickly while you wait. Pizzas are served personal-sized so go wild on whatever toppings you want (no need to share!).

Pizza options range from classics like Margherita to the Big Kahuna (their take on a Hawaiian style pizza), and a meat lover’s option called the Three Little Pigs. I started out with a Smokin’ Hot made with their signature BBQ sauce, grilled chicken, bacon, caramelized onions, Mike’s hot honey, and drizzled with ranch dressing.

What I didn’t know was that in addition to the options on their menu they have a secret menu (called their not-so-secret menu) which you can access with their VIP program. You can get pizzas like the “Pork Malone” (bbq sauce, Italian Sausage, Bacon, and Smoked Ham, caramelized onions and Honey Hot Drizzle), the Pineapple Express (pink sauce, smoked ham, bacon, pineapple, jalapeno, and ranch), CBD Pizza (chicken, bacon, and DORITO), and MAC AND CHEESE PIZZA.

Yes, I ordered the mac and cheese pizza. But wait…there’s more.

I also ordered a brussel sprout pizza which is also on their Secret menu. If you’re counting that’s three pizzas so far.

If you love wings as I do, they make theirs in the stone hearth oven as well. In addition to traditional wings, they had a special “Apple Pie Wings” which I had to try (perfect blend of sweet and savory).

Bonus: Wednesday’s they do 99cent wings.

And despite all the food I ordered, I couldn’t leave without dessert. And by couldn’t I mean I didn’t want to leave without a Nutella banana pizza.

And if this sounds like a lot of food/pizza for one person…you’re right. I went home with not one, not two, but FIVE pizza boxes. Worth it.
