“UNCORK Spring at Mercer County Park” on April 29th & 30th!
Mark your calendar for one of the best new events to come along in New Jersey! “UNCORK Spring at Mercer County Park” is going to get the 2017 festival season started when a wine festival poppin’ with fun happens on April 29 – 30 from 12 noon to 5pm each day at Mercer County Park in West Windsor Twp.
Not just any springtime festival, and definitely not just another wine festival, ”UNCORK Spring at Mercer County Park” is all about GRAPES, GIGGLES & MORE! It all starts with 15 of New Jersey’s best wineries that will be bringing the GRAPES (wine that is) for sampling and sale. GIGGLES will be heard all around as everyone dines on delectable foods from fabulous food trucks while dancing the day away to live music from two of the area’s best known bands. The MORE is all about acquiring items from the unique artisan crafters, watching the kids have tons of fun in our Kids Zone and enjoying the beauty of Mercer County Park! This event is sure to put a whole new twist on wine festivals…and sure to be a lot of fun for everyone!
“UNCORK Spring at Mercer County Park” is proud to feature some of New Jersey’s best wineries including: Cava Winery, Chestnut Run Farms, Coda Rossa Winery, DiMatteo Vineyards, Four Sisters Winery, Monroeville Winery, Plagido’s Winery, Sharrott Winery, Southwind Vineyards, Terhune Orchards Winery, Tomasello Winery, Valenzano Winery, Villari Vineyards, and Wagonhouse Winery. Along with unveiling their 2017 offerings this prestigious group of wineries brings with them numerous award winning wines (including double gold, gold, silver and bronze winners) from the International Finger Lakes Competition, The San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition and the Indy International Wine Competition just to name a few.
If it is great food you want, this event will not disappoint! My Four Suns will be on hand serving up their “Korean Fusion” fare that pays tribute to their Korean roots with an “infusion” of other cultures. Don’t miss the Dragon Dumpling Bowl with a side of Kimchi Fries! If you are in the mood for something sweet & savory then head over to Madame Pearl’s Liege Waffle Truck where they will be serving up the most delectable waffles with a wide variety of toppings. No one can resist the wine infused strawberry and Nutella waffle with vanilla ice cream and whipped topping..YUM! YUM! Also joining the festivities will be Empanada Guy (as seen on “Food Truck Heroes” and “Supermarket Superstars”) serving up his signature beef, chicken, cheese, crab, lobster and not to be missed apple cinnamon empanadas. On Saturday only Nomad Pizza will be keeping their wood fired, gourmet pizzas hot & fresh as they present attendees with made to order culinary pizza delights! On Sunday it will be Mannino’s Wood Fire Pizza Truck taking over the made to order pizza duties. Rounding out the food truck line up will be Buzzetta’s, whose offerings of great American cuisine means there will be something for everyone!
Add to the mix the chance to browse and purchase artisan crafter works from Swarovski crystal jewelry to tempting marinades to one of a kind photography pieces. Take the kids to the Kids Zone and let them enjoy a chance at our bounce house, do a “make & take” craft, build some sand art or have their face painted by our on site artist (all kids activities are pay as you go).
If it’s great music you want-we’ve got it! On Saturday we welcome The Funktion. Their name says it all “groove, soul, fun and something for everyone”! Then on Sunday it’s none other than Goldenseal. This band has the ability to cover the very best songs and get everyone up on their feet dancing. Our live music stage is sure to be hoppin’ and poppin’, so don’t miss the fun!
“UNCORK Spring at Mercer County Park” will no doubt quickly become a much anticipated annual event thanks to everything the festival has to offer. Come for the GRAPES-meet the winemakers, sample new varietals and purchase your favorites! Advance discount sampling tickets to “UNCORK Spring at Mercer County Park” are on sale now for only $15.00 (must be 21 or older to purchase). Sampling tickets at the gate each day are $20.00. Non-samplers tickets (21+) are $5.00 and can only be bought at the gate. Those under 21 are FREE but must be accompanied by a full paying adult.
