Two Bridges Holiday Escape: 9 Wines, 3 Unique Locations
This past weekend I got to experience the Two Bridges Holiday Escape in South Jersey. We got to experience three very cool places in New Jersey that each hosted three South Jersey vineyards and wineries. It was an opportunity to drink, eat, and shop and I loved every minute of it.
Stop 1: Cecil Creek Farms (73 Democrat Rd Mickleton, NJ)
If you haven’t been to Cecil Creek Farms in Mickelton, it’s a family owned farm with a passion for healthy organically grown foods and vegetables.Their 42 acre farm is a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) farm that has CSA shares for eggs, dairy, meat, fruit, and more. It’s an amazing place with a great cafe and farm to fork dining.
At Cecil Creek Farms we sampled wine from Auburn Road Vineyard and Winery. I loved tasting wines from here including their “Good Karma”(a light, dry red perfect for those who enjoy a Pinot Noir) and “Give Peach a Chance” made from sweet New Jersey peaches….
Summit City Farms and Winery where I enjoyed their “Summit Red (a sweet Concord Red) and White Peach Wine…
and Bellview Winery where I sampled their Red wines like the “Solavita” which has tastes of fruit and vanilla.
We also had a special visit from Mrs. Claus who was LOVELY. Everyone loved taking photos with her, and she NEVER broke character.
Stop 2: Hill Creek Farms (631 NJ-45, Mullica Hill, NJ)
I had never been to Hill Creek Farms, but I had heard amazing things about their apple cider donuts. When I got there, I was surprised to see how much food they made on their property including jams, pies, cider, sauce, and much more.
They are closed for now during the Winter, but this is a great place to visit! They even have a fire pit outside for when it’s colder.
At Hill Creek Farms we sampled wine from Cedarvale Winery. I enjoyed tasting their fruit wines like their Cherry and Strawberry wines, and their Chambourcin which was AMAZING…
Heritage Vineyards where I enjoyed their Jersey Holiday Spice wine made from apples and cinnamon…
and Monroeville Vineyard and Winery where I LOVED their Blueberry wine, which is made from New Jersey blueberries and tastes like fresh blueberries!
Stop 3: The Find (1207 U.S. 40, Pilesgrove, NJ)
The Find is a new thrift shop, used furniture, antique dealer with everything from vintage goodness, handmade items, homemade tea and more. I truly loved walking around this very big store and rummaging through items I would love to have in my home.
At The Find we sampled wines from Chesnut Run Farm and Winery, a winery that makes their wine from pears, plums, apples. We tried all 6 of their wines which ranged from dry to sweet. I loved their Semi-Sweet Asian Pear Wine.
I also enjoyed stopping byWagonhouse Winery where I had the “Daisy Grace” which tastes like a creamsicle (SO GOOD)
Last but not least, I visited Coda Rossa where I enjoyed their “Holiday Spice”, a red wine made with cinnamon, brown sugar, citrus, and cloves. I had it mulled, which I strongly recommend.
Overall I had a great time drinking great wine and shopping throughout the day. I went home with gifts for family and friends, and apple cider donuts to eat in the car ride home.
