The Town Square Diner in Aberdeen: Review
One of my first diner reviews for the blog was the Aberdeen Diner. Since I reviewed it, the space has a new owner and has been renamed the Town Square Diner. Therefore I kind of reviewed this diner twice…which is weird.
The Town Square Diner sits in a shopping center on Route 34 on the border of Matawan and Aberdeen. It’s a great shopping center too, they have a bowling alley, a movie theater, ice cream, and a fun hobby shop.
The Aberdeen Diner was one of my favorite diners, so I had some reservations about going to this new “Town Square Diner”.
Walking in, the diner looked exactly the same. You gotta love a diner with a chandelier.
We were there for breakfast, and the menu had definitely been upgraded! They had lots of fun omelettes, baked goods, pancakes (oreo pancakes), and much more.
My husband was very hungry so he got the “Hungry Man” special (appropriate). This monster meal came with a choice of Challah french toast, pancakes, or waffle with two eggs, ham, bacon & sausage. All for under $10!
Something that caught my eye right away on the menu was Nutella French Toast which came with Bananas. I was like, “Yes, please”.
Not only was the meal great, but they gave us real syrup in a jar. I loathe when they give it to you in packets.
Overall, the Town Square Diner definitely stands out on it’s own against it’s predecessor. They make an excellent breakfast, have great customer service, and their food is super affordable.
