5th Annual Gone to the Dogs Craft Fair & Family Festival
October 5, 10AM – 4PM

There will be approx. 100 artists, crafters & vendors PLUS several food trucks, beer tent, carnival games, pet contests, inflatables, New Life Animal Rescue ALUMNI STRUT, adoptable dogs, a well-known HUGE prize auction with over 100 high-value prizes, 50/50 raffle, and so much more!!! Friendly, leashed, well-behaved dogs allowed – please NO retractable leashes! And this year the event will kick off with a 5K Run / 1 Mile Walk!! Check-in begins at 8am and the race starts at 9:30!! Ales ‘N Tails Oktoberfest
October 5, 6PM – 9PM

Hosted by New Jersey’s #1 Zoo, Ales ‘N Tails Oktoberfest supporters are able to enjoy a live Oompah Band and sample dozens and dozens of seasonal brews from around the corner and around the world, all set to the backdrop of the beautiful Essex County Turtle Back Zoo (560 Northfield Avenue, West Orange, NJ 07052). In addition to traditional music and beers there will be local craft and food vendors on site. Ales ‘N Tails is a benefit for the Essex County Parks Foundation.

Historic Smithville’s Oktoberfest

For those in the know, Smithville’s Oktoberfest tradition has become synonymous with great food and family fun.Smithville presents over 100 Juried Crafters, an International Food Court, Music, Kids Activities, non- Profit organizations and more. All of this food and fun in addition to over 60 shoppes, Carousel rides, Train rides, Paddle boats, 7 eateries, and antique arcades that grace the Smithville Village year round!

Laurita OktoberFest with Food Trucks & Fire Pits

Food and wine lovers will converge at Laurita Winery in New Egypt for a Laurita Winery Gourmet Food Trucks and Fire Works weekend. Chowderfest Cook Off Classic

Fall Float Festival
October 6, 10AM – 4PM

It’s back! The Family Float Festival returns to Smithville Park this Fall. Canoe or kayak on the Rancocas Creek from Smithville Park to Mount Holly. Residents along the creek decorate their docks and hope to win your vote as you float! After canoeing, you’ll be shuttled back to Historic Smithville Park for an afternoon of fun-filled Fall activities. Pick a pumpkin, listen to live music, or view the art gallery. New this year will be Carve Wars. These talented artists will be on site for two days carving wooden figurines with their chainsaws. There will be a live auction at 2 PM to purchase their chainsaw carved masterpieces!

Blackwood Pumpkin Festival
October 6, 11AM – 4PM

Enjoy a fun-filled day at the 28th Annual Blackwood Pumpkin Festival, presented by MainStage Center for the Arts, around Mainstage’s Academy Hall (27 S Black Horse Pike). This festival offers food, games, moon bounces, face painting, live entertainment, rides, pumpkin painting, a pumpkin carving contest, a talent contest, scare-crow building and more than 200 vendors!
