Holy Moly, it’s November already! For the first weekend of November there’s plenty to do including food truck festivals like the Port Imperial Food Truck Festival  and Paramus Food Truck Fest, plus the return of the Atlantic City Tattoo Expo, and Free Events like Art All Day Trenton and Princeton’s Annual Day of the Dead Celebration.

Atlantic City Tattoo Expo
The Atlantic City Tattoo Expo, one of the East Coast’s longest running tattoo conventions, is returning for its 15th Season at Bally’s Atlantic City, November 2nd through the 4th, and will showcase some of the country’s most well-known tattoo artists as well as some local favorites!

Port Imperial Food Truck Fest
Port Imperial Food Truck Fest is Back On! The New date is 10/27 come and celebrate the spooky season with over 20 Food Trucks, Music, Kids Rides, Face Painting, Games and More!

2018 Lake Hopatcong Lake-Wide Cleanup
The Lake Hopatcong Foundation, along with the Lake Hopatcong Commission, is coordinating with the four lake municipalities, two counties, the state and local groups to organize hundreds of volunteers for the 2018 Lake Hopatcong Lake-Wide Cleanup. The cleanup aims to bring hundreds of volunteers to Lake Hopatcong to take advantage of the exposed sections of shoreline to scour for debris that was dumped or accidentally lost to the lake over the years

Superhero Superfest: The Sequel
Meet celebrities, participate in all of our “SUPERHERO CHALLENGES” to become “SUPERHERO CERTIFIED,” shop for comics and other collectibles from 80+ vendors, try out the Game Zone Mobile Gaming Truck and more during this family friendly event. Everyone in costume can participate in Cosplay competitions throughout the day for all ages.

Art All Day Trenton
Trenton’s arts scene is stronger than ever, and there’s no better opportunity to explore it than during Art All Day, Artworks’ free celebration of creativity throughout the city. Saturday, November 3 marks the seventh annual Art All Day, featuring open studio tours, demos, pop-up galleries, public art and more.Art All Day features convenient trolley routes, leaving from Artworks and connecting sites, food truck offerings, and a whole new free Art All Day map/program, available in advance from Artworks. Bike tours, live demonstrations, art and history talks, and other immersive activities will satisfy all levels of curiosity and adventurousness.

Day of the Dead Celebration
The Arts Council of Princeton and the Princeton Shopping Center present the annual Day of the Dead celebration. Celebrate Mexico’s El Día de los Muertos with strolling mariachis, sugar skull decorating, face painting, “Catrina” costume contest and folk arts and crafts. Learn about the traditions of this rich cultural holiday at this free, family-friendly afternoon event. Day of the Dead is observed throughout the world at this time of year (in connection with Halloween and All Souls’ Day), where family and friends gather to remember and honor those who have died. Traditions connected with the holiday include building private altars using sugar skulls, marigolds and favorite foods of the deceased, and then visiting graves with these as gifts.

Men of Charity’s 10th Annual Harvest Fest for Charity
On Saturday, Nov 3rd, Men of Charity host their 10th annual Harvest Fest & NJ Microbrew night at St. James in Basking Ridge at 6:30. 14 top NJ craft brewers showcase over 40 different craft beers, ranging from lagers and pilsners to IPAs, stouts and more. Wines and prosecco from Stirling Fine Wines will also be served, along with Oktoberfest dinner, snacks and live music. Tickets include craft beer, wine, food, live music, and a tasting glass. There will also be a basket raffle. Proceeds benefit local families in need. This year’s event has 14+ NJ breweries, including: 2nd Act Beer, 902 Brewing Co., The Alementary, Beach Haus Brewery, Cricket Hill Brewing Co., Czig Meister Brewing Company,Flounder Brewing, Fort Nonsense Brewing Company, Hunterdon Distributors, Lone Eagle Brewing, Man Skirt Brewing, Ramstein Beer, Stirling Hotel, Trap Rock Restaurant & Brewery, plus wine from Stirling Fine Wines.

Grape Adventure
What better way to span the gap between Fright Fest and Holiday in the Park? The wine festival takes place November 3 and 4 and features 14 New Jersey vineyards with locally-produced wines for sampling, handcrafted gifts from local artisans and delicious food. Paramus Food Truck Fall Festival

Headstands for Hunger 2018 Year of the Dog
Yoga Teachers from around the county will come together to teach a 90 minute all levels yoga class to the sounds of live violin of Jeffery Boga!! This Year will be “Year Of The DOG” – which means there will be all kinds of downward doggie style fun will be had. Headstands are optional! Come for yoga, henna, vendor fair, photo booth fun, and our H4H kissing booth.
