Well, well, well… September is here! And it’s the first weekend of Autumn!!! Featured events include Oktoberfests, food, beer and wine festivals,  the Warren County Balloon Festival and much more. Let’s leave the house to explore what NJ has to offer (or not, you do you). These are my top 20 New Jersey Events for September 23 – 25, 2022.

Warren County Hot Air Balloons, Fun & Games Festival
Friday, September 23 – Sunday, September 25; 3pm to 8pm

Join for some family fun at this hot air balloon festival, hosted by Warren Community College, located at 475 Route 57 in Washington NJ. Gates open at 3 pm each day with vendors, food trucks, and family entertainment. Each day offers something unique. Entertainment varies each day. Learn some circus tricks with juggler from Grins & Grins, or just be entertained by Phydeaux’s Flying Flea Circus. Watch some great local talent like Leah Marie Fuls, Jeff Bellfy Band and Na’Bodash. Other musical entertainment includes DJ shows by S.C.3 Entertainment, playing hits from every generation, Kudos Barber Shop Quartet.

Asburyfest
September 23 – 25

The Annual AsburyFest (formerly Asbury Park Oysterfest) is back and better than ever! What’s the perfect recipe for a cool weekend in the hottest town at the Jersey Shore? Start with some of the best festival food around, add a dash of music, and a pinch of surprises and you have AsburyFest, a three-day culinary event you don’t want to miss. This year’s event will be held across the street from the iconic Convention Hall, in Bradley Park.

Irish Fall Festival
September 23 – 25

One of the largest Irish festivals in the country is held at the Jersey shore — every September, Wildwood holds the annual Irish Fall Festival!. The yearly celebration of Irish heritage is expected to draw as many as a quarter of a million people to the resort of the Wildwoods for the festival. Come celebrate Irish heritage with dancing, music, food and craft vendors daily. Other festivities include a golf tournament, Irish dance lessons, 5K run and 1 mile walk, pipe exhibition, food court, and Catholic Mass. The events conclude with a parade on Surf Avenue from 20th to Spruce and Olde New Jersey Avenues.

Oktoberfest
September 24, 9AM – 6PM

Celebrate the famous Bavarian tradition in Cape May the festival will be located on Carpenter Lane between Decatur & Jackson and continue down Jackson Street to Beach Ave. as it is transformed into a German promenade with authentic music and food. Visit the Beer Gardens and Food Courts browse the artisans tables selling crafts, antiques and collectibles.

Edgewater Arts and Music Festival
September 24, 11AM – 6PM

Edgewater is now a vital part of New Jersey’s Gold Coast and the Annual Music Festival is Edgewater’s most popular cultural event. The location is Veterans Field next to the Community Center along the Hudson. In case of rain we will hold the Arts Festival inside the Community Center. Come and join us and enjoy the magnificent and unique art created by imaginative and extremely creative artisans. Listen to the music, shop, enjoy the entertainment from our stage and savor the delicious food from local vendors. This event is free and designed to be enjoyed by the whole family!

The Newark PorchFest
September 24, 12PM to 6PM (rain date Sunday, September 25th)

THE NEWARK PORCHFEST returns to the Historic Forest Hill neighborhood on Saturday, September 24th from noon to 6 pm (Rain date: Sunday, the 25th). This FREE family-friendly event organized by the Forest Hill Community Association will feature professional and amateur performing and visual artists, as well as food trucks serving a variety of refreshments. Neighbors make their beautiful porches available to serve as community stages showcasing an extraordinary range of talented artists. Garfield Familly Family Street Fair
September 25, 10AM – 5PM

Hosted by the City of Garfield and the Garfield Events Committee held along Midland Ave. from 10am-5pm. This event brings the whole community together. The street will be closed to vehicle traffic during the event and will be transformed into a giant block party from Krakow Street to Elizabeth St. If you like shopping outdoors then this is the place to be. Quality exhibitors selling a selection of assorted items, a special arts & crafts section, live entertainment, kiddie rides & games, great festival foods & food trucks, and so much more.
