Pier Village Restaurant Week
February 21 – 28
Luxurious and located on an iconic stretch of the Jersey shore, the year-round destination of Pier Village in Long Branch, NJ will host its second annual Restaurant Week from February 21 – 28. The event celebrates some of the region’s finest flavors and will feature special 3-course, pre-fix meals at participating Pier Village restaurants for $25 or $35.

New Jersey Home & Garden Show
February 24 – 26
An early proponent and leader of the natural laundry cleaning material trend, flooring and lumber made of organically grown fiber hemp stocks, and tips from a repurposing expert are among the influencers and experts who will advise visitors to the 33rd annual New Jersey Home & Garden Show. Visitors to the show, at the New Jersey Convention Center in Edison February 24-26, will also see ideas and products from more than 100 remodelers, contractors, interior designers, landscapers and kitchen & bath designers — most of them locally-owned businesses. Handcrafted work of artisans will be for sale in the Marketplace area.

Seaside Polar Bear Plunge

The Polar Bear Plunge at Seaside Heights presented by New Jersey Law Enforcement as part of the year-round fundraising of Law Enforcement Torch Run® events is a unique opportunity for individuals, organizations, and businesses to support Special Olympics New Jersey athletes by jumping into the frigid Atlantic waters during February.

Maple Sugaring Hike
February 25, 10AM & 2PM
Discover the history, folklore, and science of maple sugaring. Visit our maple trees, find out how we tap them using drills and spiles, and try a sample of sweet maple sugar. Learn about the evaporation process and how sticky sap transforms into sweet maple syrup. The operation of our outdoor evaporator is dependent on the amount of sap the trees produce and the weather. It may not be running during all program sessions. Dress for both indoors and outdoors and wear your boots. Sign up for one session – registration and prepayment are required.

Maple Sugaring at the Environmental Education Center
February 25 and 26
Visitors will get see how trees are tapped, view sap-collecting methods past and present, and see the boiling process that produces delicious New Jersey maple syrup. This 90-minute program is conducted at our Sugar Shack, a ½-mile hike from the EEC. Please arrive at the EEC 20-30 minutes before the program start time and dress appropriately for the weather conditions. Boots are recommended as the trails can be wet, muddy, and/or covered by snow.

Highlands Annual Chili Cook Off
February 26, 3PM – 7PM
The Highlands Business Partnership’s Chili Cook Off fundraiser will be held on Sunday, February 26, 2023 from 3-7PM. There will be performances by bag pipe bands and Daly’s Irish Dancers. All proceeds will benefit the 2023 St. Patrick’s Day Parade, taking place on March 18th, 2PM, step off at Huddy Park Highlands, NJ. There will be two Chili Cook Off contests. The “Professional” Cook Off (commercial) will begin at 4PM sharp and the “Amateur” Cook Off (residents) will begin promptly at 5PM. Once the chili lovers have tasted all contestants’ chili, they will vote for their favorite and drop their ballot in the ballot box. The results will be tallied and the winners will be announced at 5:30 PM. Prizes will be awarded to the winner of each contest. In addition to the People’s Choice, there will be an independent panel of judges.
