Mac & Cheese Mayhem
February 18, 11AM – 7PM

NJ’s biggest and best Mac & Cheese Festival. Can you think of a better way to spend the day than trying different variations of mac and cheese? Everyone’s favorite comfort food! This is an event that is fun for the entire family with many activities including face painting, knockerball, petting zoo, hatchet throwing & beer, sangria and margarita garden, vendors and more. Pre-purchase tickers are recommended and are available for purchase

GSWGA’s Wine and Chocolate Weekend
February 18 & 19

Enjoy Valentine’s Day Weekend by checking out GSWGA’s Annual Wine and Chocolate Trail Weekend! This year the trail will take place over two weekends with participating wineries throughout the state.

New Jersey Boat Sale and Expo
February 16 – 19

Life is better on a boat! This show has something for every age and interest with hundreds of new boats on sale from the top dealers in the state representing boating’s most popular brands. Attendees will be able to board and shop all the top boat brands and models of all sizes. The show also has a Boater’s Marketplace, FREE Seminars and Boating Safety Classes and the Kids Cove.

1st Annual Chili Cook Off
February 18, 1PM – 4PM

The temperature outside has been nothing short of freezing. What better way to warm up then to have a good ol fashion chili cook off with a beer in your hand! Watch chili chefs of all different levels compete for the title of Heavy Reel Chili Champ and crowning the champ. Come get some amazing beer and have some awesome chili as well.

Maple Sugaring at the Hermitage
February 18, 1PM – 4PM

The Hermitage Master Gardeners will be tapping about 15 trees on the grounds of the National Historic Landmark. Families and friends are invited to learn how to tap maple trees and the importance of maple sugaring to the Lenape and early Dutch and English settlers in Northern New Jersey. Children 12 and older and adults will also be able to tap the trees with the Master Gardeners. Guests will be sent home with the equipment to tap the trees in their own yards and instructions on boiling the sap into syrup. During the event a small concession stand featuring hot beverages and maple sugary snacks will be also be open.

Maple Sugaring
February 19, 12PM – 3PM

What a tasty way to spend a winter afternoon! Bring the whole family and enjoy a program about maple sugaring, the oldest continuous industry in North America. On this self-guided hike, you’ll follow a map and visit multiple interactive stations along the Rancocas trails. Learn about the Sugar Maple tree and the history of maple sugaring, observe a tapping demonstration, and enjoy a maple syrup tasting. To ward off the chills, we’ll have an old-fashioned campfire burning.

4th Annual Causeway CARes Summer in Winter Carnival
February 19, 12PM – 4PM

There will be everything you would expect to see at a carnival. Including games like Skee Ball and Milk Can toss, food like chicken fingers, french fries, popcorn and cookies. Entertainers such as face painters, balloon artist and so much more! Special Guests: Caricatures by Akbar, Magic Al, Freckles the Clown, TapSnap Photos, DJ Meatball & more.

George Washington – 1778 Battle of Monmouth
February 19, 2PM

This event features a minute-by-minute accounting of George Washington’s actions during the June 28, 1778 Battle of Monmouth. The Battle of Monmouth was the longest continuous battle of the Revolutionary War. It took place here on a brutally hot summer day.

Presidents Day – Whitesbog Historic Village Tours, Hike, & Scavenger Hunt
February 20, 10AM – 1PM

Tour the Cranberry & Blueberry Farm Museum, and explore the farm tools, barrels, crates, blueberry and cranberry sorters and advertisements from the local Pine Barrens industry. Check out the historical photos and artifacts in the huge, barn building. 12 pm Winter Hike with PINES education team, they will keep an eye on the weather, please dress for mud, ice, snow, rain, etc. Short 30 minute to 1-hour walk depending on the group, all ages welcome. Cottage Tours: Visit the historic cottages and walk through the houses with 4 front doors! Visitors are encouraged to take pictures!
