The Meadowlands Winefest Returns on June 20th, 2026
If there’s one thing we know for sure here at New Jersey Isn’t Boring, it’s that the Garden State has one of the absolute best food and drink scenes around. And if you love great wine, live entertainment, and a unique night out, you’re going to want to clear your calendar for this summer.
The annual Meadowlands Winefest is officially returning to East Rutherford on Saturday, June 20, 2026, and it’s shaping up to be the ultimate Jersey summer evening. Hosted at The Backyard—the track’s massive, vibrant outdoor festival and grandstand space—this event pairs a massive global wine tasting with the high-energy thrill of live trackside harness racing
This isn’t just your average tasting event. The Winefest is bringing in over 55 wineries from across the globe, meaning you can sample your way through iconic wine regions like Italy, France, Australia, and South America without ever leaving Bergen County.
Whether you’re a fan of a crisp Chardonnay, a bold Pinot Noir, or a refreshing Prosecco, there’s going to be something for every palate.
Even better? New Jersey’s very own Valenzano Winery will be on-site pouring local favorites. You’ll be able to sip on everything from their classic Cabernet/Merlot blend and Shamong Red to summer-ready bottles like Watermelon Kiss, Red, White & Blueberry Sangria, and their famous Jersey Devil Blueberry Port.
To match the incredible drink lineup, the festival is bringing out a fleet of local food vendors to keep you fueled all night long. DJ Alx will be spinning live tracks to keep the summer festival vibes going in the open air.
Plus, because it’s the Meadowlands, the night features the added excitement of live racing! The Meadowlands Championship Meet will be in full swing, with the first harness race kicking off at 6:35 PM. You can watch the horses rush past the finish line right from The Backyard while holding your tasting glass.

VIP $70: Includes admission, special food access, tasting glass, exclusive VIP tastings and 1 additional hour of sampling (limited to 200.)
GENERAL ADMISSION $45 Includes admission, tasting glass and 4 hour sampling. GA is $50 day of at the gate.
All ticket holders have access to samplings, pairings, educational seminars and more. Must be 21 & older to attend. No refunds given. Event subject to issuance of NJ ABC permit.
