Star Diner and Cafe in Wildwood: Review
When traveling in Wildwood off season, it’s good to know there’s at least one diner that will be open…the Star Diner and Cafe. This retro diner is open year round in North Wildwood.
We arrived at the diner for breakfast, which had a lot to choose from. While I made my decision, I started with coffee which I was very happy with. Plus it came in a Star Diner mug, so it was worth a photo op.
Although the diner is open all day, I highly recommend visiting there for breakfast. There’s so much to choose from, and their portions are HUGE. I went back and forth between a lot of different things, and ultimately ended up getting stuffed French Toast. Something I’ve never gotten before. My waitress wished me good luck.
I barely got through half of it! The stuffed French Toast I choose was filled with peanut butter and bananas.
It was delicious, filling, and enough for three people. I took more than half of it home, and I shared some of it with my husband. It made fabulous dessert for later on in the day.
My husband decided to get the Star Diner Cafe Special, which comes with 2 eggs, 2 pancakes, 2 strips of bacon, and 1 sausage. Another meal big enough for more than 1 person.
Other fun things about the diner is that their menu plays into their Star/Outer space theme. They have Solar Specialty Sandwiches, Rings of Saturn Club Sandwiches, and Mercury Hot Sandwiches. Their menu is pretty, pretty big and features all your favorite diner classics.
Overall I had an “out of this world” experience at the Star Diner and Cafe and I definitely plan on visiting next time I’m in town.
