Put the Pub in Public Garden on April 7th

“A wine without a soul is just a beverage.”  Why not take a wine taster’s virtual tour of France, with a special stop in Bordeaux, at Reeves-Reed Arboretum’s Put the ‘Pub’ in Public Garden Wine Tasting, Friday, April 7, from  7 to 9:30 pm?

Press Release:

“Walk” with us through the hills of the French countryside while sampling wines from the lovely artisanal boutique vineyard, Chateau Couchebout.  Nestled in the southwest corner of France and set amongst 20 acres of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, and Sauvignon Blanc, the wines at Chateau Couchebout are grown, harvested and bottled, by hand, in small batches on the property, insuring beautiful density, delicate perfumes, silky soft tannins and balance.  This attention to detail and quality is rivaled by none.

The city of Bordeaux is the world’s major wine industry capital.  In the last decade, this once sleepy city has shed its languid, Belle au Bois Dormant (Sleeping Beauty) image to become not only the hub of the famed wine-growing region of France, but also a vibrant, world-class destination with outstanding historic architecture, curving river quays, and an exceptional dining scene with more fine wine than you could ever possibly drink.  The wines from famed Chateau Couchebout, paired with a selection of fine cheeses and authentic French charcuterie and bread will make this an evening not to be missed!

Put the ‘Pub’ in Public Garden is a fundraiser for Reeves-Reed Arboretum.  Admission to the evening’s flavorful festivities is $50 per person, RRA members ($65 for nonmembers). Reservations are requested.  Please call Doreen Schindler at 908-273-8787 x 1010, or d.schindler@reeves-reedarboretum.org to purchase your tickets.  You may also sign up on line at www.reeves-reedarboretum.org.

RSVP by April 4.  Not yet a member or need to renew, now’s the time!
