Princess Maria Diner in Wall Township: Review
On a VERY rainy afternoon I treated myself to lunch at a new diner (for me), the Princess Maria Diner in Wall Township, NJ (mainly because I was in the area).
I’m not really into eating by myself, but the diner was actually pretty crowded at the time so I felt I blended in. I also had a VERY chatty waitress so that made the time go by quickly.
The diner’s menu is pretty big, and to be honest I felt the prices were a little high. Even the lunch specials felt a little out of price range. No judgement though, since I did not see how big the portions were.
Their menu overall is pretty traditional to a typical diner. Some things that stood out to me were their homemade soups, a “Reuben Bin”(a bunch of different Reubens), a list of Mexican specialties, a list of different steak cuts, and their lobster raviolis. I liked that the diner had Italian, Mexican, AND Greek specialties.
Because the diner is somewhat close to the Jersey Shore, they had a lot of seafood on their menu including mussels, king crab legs, shrimp, etc. For entrees you could get your seafood fried, stuffed, sauteed, or broiled.
Despite being tempted by some of the seafood options on the menu, I eventually I decided on getting something I never regret getting, a chicken gyro. You can find this under the “Hot Pita” section of the menu.
It was a pretty big gyro, so big that I didn’t end up finishing it. I also really liked their fries…they were perfectly well done.
My experience at the Princess Maria Diner was pretty average compared to other diner experiences. I had a solid meal at an affordable price…so no complaints!
