The Pink Cadillac Diner: Review
The Pink Cadillac Diner is a retro 50s style diner located just one block away from the Wildwood boardwalk. I ventured there while visiting the beach in mid July.
There is no shortage of NJ diners in the Wildwood area. We passed by many diners driving around Wildwood that day, making it difficult to choose which one we would visit. We landed on the Pink Cadillac Diner since it was very close to the boardwalk…which is what we were closest to when we started getting hungry.
This 50s style diner really went with their theme all the way! Lots of chrome, neon lights, checkerboard floors…what a throwback! They even have a cute cut out in the front of the diner where you can insert your face and be a greaser or a pink lady a la Grease. Even people who weren’t eating at the diner wanted to do it!
Inside the diner is just as retro as the exterior! They have a jukebox, cute diner counter, lots of chrome and neon lights (again), 50s style toy cars and posters etc
I got a kick out of the tables, since each table corresponded to a famous 1950s celebrity. We were at the Jane Mansfield table.
On to to their food…
Their menu has pretty much everything you could want in a diner. One of the things that stuck out to me on the menu was their pancake section which had everything from standard pancakes to M & M, brownie pancakes, cookie dough morsel pancakes, peanut butter, and tooty-fruity pancakes (bananas and strawberries).
They also had some pretty crazy burgers. Those burgers include the “Jersey” burger (mozzarella sticks, onion rings, bacon, lettuce, tomato, & mayo), the “Classic Philly” burger (cream cheese and bacon), the “Porky” burger (pork roll, cheese), the Mac and Cheese Burger, and the “Gyro” Burger (gyro meat, onions, tomato, and tzatziki sauce ). They also have a “PCD Challenge” where if you eat 2 8oz beef burgers with LTO with fries, onion rings AND a milkshake in under 30 minutes you get a free t-shirt (the meal costs $19.99). We decided to skip the challenge for now, and my husband settled on a classic cheese burger instead.
I got a chicken pesto panini which was quite delicious! Their fries were super crispy too, so I was pleased.
Overall, the 50s theme is cute, the service was great, the food was delicious and affordable, plus you can’t beat the location to the beach! I would definitely recommend it!
