It’s August! Summer continues to pump out hot, hot hot, events like Summerfest at Ort Farms, the Long Branch Jazz and Blues Festivals, Wine Down Summer at the Riverwinds, and so much more. Let’s leave the house to explore what NJ has to offer (or not, you do you). These are my top 10 New Jersey Events for August 26-28, 2022.

Hunterdon County 4H and Agricultural Fair
August 24-28
This family-friendly event celebrates Hunterdon County’s rich agricultural landscape. You and your crew can check out the 4-H county fair farm activities like cow milking demos and tractor pulls, live music, fun games, thrilling carnival rides, delicious food, and the always popular fireworks extravaganza Friday night.

Chatham Food Truck and Music Festival
August 27, 11AM – 7PM
The Food Trucks are coming back to Chatham! The 3rd Annual Food Truck and Music Fest will be held again at the Chatham Middle School. Bring your lawn chairs, your apatite, and your 4-legged family members for a day of great food, great music and a celebration of life! In addition to 15+ food vendors the family will enjoy some great activities including boardwalk Style Games, bounce house, air soft shooting gallery painters, and more!

Westfield Street Fair & Craft Show
August 27, 11AM – 5PM

Long Branch Jazz and Blues Festival
August 27, 1PM – 9PM (Rain or Shine)
This music festival features a mix of strong national and local musicians performing live Jazz and blues on stage. The grand finale will feature a fireworks display at dusk.

Wine Down Summer at the Riverwinds

Wine Down Summer at RiverWinds is featuring 12 of New Jersey’s best wineries, gourmet food trucks, artisanal crafters, kids activities and live music!

Summerfest at Ort Farms!
August 27 & 28, 10AM – 6PM
Kick-off sunflower season with Marketspace Vendor Events for the second annual Summerfest! Take a walk through the sunflower trail, a scenic horse-drawn carriage ride around the farm, or relax with an ice-cold beer and enjoy the live music from the Dirty Blondes and Mudfoot. Kids can take a ride on a cow train or spend time with our friendly farm animals, including baby bunnies and goat kids. Local artisan vendors will be on site with their unique, handmade products, and joined by local food trucks Angry Archie’s and The Empanada Truck.

Apples & Artisans
August 28, 11AM – 3PM
Riamede Farm will celebrate the opening of the harvest season and our local creators on Sunday, August 28 from 11 AM – 3 PM with their first annual “Apples and Artisans” celebration. Local specialty goods like charcuterie boards hand-made from Riamede’s own 70-year-old apple wood, honey, small-batch ice cream, and seasonal bouquets will be on display and for sale. Of course, plan to pick up some of their world-famous warm apple cider donuts. The apple season kicks off with varieties including Gala, Ginger Gold, McIntosh, Mollie Delicious, and Zestar. Wagon rides, delicious food concessions from Provence at the Orchard, as well as you-pick apples, sunflowers, and tomatoes will be available.

Netcong End of Summer Food Truck Festival
August 28, 7AM – 7PM
Get ready Netcong and surrounding towns…. food trucks, fun, games, vendors, and live music are coming to town as saying goodbye to Summer! Bring your appetite, lawn chairs, and of course your 4 – legged family members as we party one more time before school starts….Sunday, August 28th at Arbolino Park Netcong! In addition to some great food, your family will enjoy some great activities including Airsoft shooting range, Extreme Grand Prix racing, inflatables, Sand Art, Extreme Bubble Ball, Henna Tattoo, and more! Portions of all ticket sales go to benefit the Netcong Recreation Department.

MAPSO Funk Fest is a carefully curated funk, house & soul music event that fosters community, bringing people together while spotlighting and supporting local restaurants, wellness businesses, artisans, and other creative talent.
